Cool things like Akavir, Battlespires, Mananauts & Sun Birds, Multiple Khajiiti forms, etc get kept under the carpet, meanwhile games wity revisionist lore pandering to the lowest common denominator get pumped out like KFC drumsticks. And leave me feeling just as greasy.

UGH! Bethesda I can't even fathom the stupidity of your decisions sometimes. You draw me in with these works of beauty like morrowind and then betray me with acts like this. UGH!

MK, when I inheret my millions (not joking), you will be well payed to develop games with no creative interference. This I swear.

The project is in good hands, everyone, rest assured.

Same good hands that have made toothed anus enemies?

So the plan is to all camp around White-Gold in tents and wave signs about. If we do it long enough do you think Jeff Mangum will appear?

Should I feel bad for being somewhat optimistic about this? I won't get my hopes up, but I don't think all is lost yet.

It's still Tamriel and she remembers only the loudest. '13 is the Serpent, numbered 36. Let's do this thing.

Hey, I'm open to all sorts of Tamriel. The only thing I don't like, is the dull overriding the bizarre. Somehow we are going to have to fit all this new lore in with how we understand Tamriel. Forming a guild of bemused Whirling Schoolers who have all fallen through a Looking Glass into an image of their homeland they don't quite recognise is as good a start as any.

It's like a reverse Alice and Wonderland. Everything is more dull and makes slightly more sense down this rabbit hole.

It's too similar to World of Warcraft. Kill and collect quests, hot-keys, even the so-called 'Guilds' are nothing more than anologues to WoW's reputation factions. And why is Molag Bal being allowed to eat Mundus? That's against the rules!

*cough* Ghost Choir 9 *cough*

I see where this is going.

On another note, what did you ask from them anyway? Was it a jet? Did you want a private jet? Or was it the scene with the hillock? I can imagine why you wouldn't want to budge on that. In all seriousness, and fanaticism aside, this was a dumb move. Totally separate of whatever you actually did for the game, just having your name attached is a selling point for a large number of people, who incidentally, are the kind of people who tell all their friends whether or not this next RPG is worth playing or not. I honestly fail to understand the reasoning behind this. Its like getting Joss Whedon for the Avengers Assemble film. The right man for the right job - it is a good formula.

What are these Whirling Scholars and Buoyant Armchairs you people are talking about? I have not encountered them, to my memory, within any of the texts.

Or Ghost Choir 9, for that matter.

But, in seriousness, I am extremely cautious with this. I mean, I guess it doesn't really matter all that much in the end because I don't play PC, but still. I would have much preferred a mainline TES game with several player co-op.

Josh Whedon, lol.

The right man, but not the right spelling. In other news, Morkael Kurtbrod is penning the "Songs of the 77th Netchiman-Biter" series of lore books for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Morrowind. The Whirling Scholars were the guys Vivec would occasionally kill because no one knows what he is.

The Bouyant Armigers met Muatra in a different way.

Neither...uh...sound too appealing, really.

this was a dumb move.

It was a move, that's for sure. Dumbness, though, is only recorded by the survivors. What has happened is this: there's never been a more open forum to shape the land and what it means.

Walk like them until... you know the rest.

I don't want them walking like Tamriel until they become it, though. I like Tamriel as it is.

I think he means us. I guess, in a sense, we are being given an opportunity to be Resdayn, so to speak, if we want to. If only this thing was structured like a fantasy EvE! We could reshape the mystic in wonderful new arrangements with our very footprints.

It looks like another sickly, generic and tedious fantasy game.

The Dragon Broke and everything become supremely boring.

Agree with the preaching part.

What the hell did they do to the Ordinators?

Time to start thinking up a name for the guild. Heralds of the Broken Dragon? Or is that not subtle enough?

I'm not dismissing the game itself, but the art direction irks me. Greatly.
