What will M'aiq the Liar say in Skyrim?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:49 pm

I wasn't here on the forums for the hype build up for Morrowind or Oblivion, but I can certainly say one thing I'm really looking forward to in Skyrim since I've read some of the topics here is http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:M%27Aiq_the_Liar the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:M%27aiq_the_Liar.

What can we expect this Khajiit to say in Skyrim?

I hate M'Aiq, its very insulting to me when Bethesda makes a character just to tell us how they could of made the game better but didn't.

M'aiq wonders why people would want things Bethesda don't! Surely they know best!

M'aiq always enjoy a good fable. M'aiq thinks it's a pity that they get even worse.

M'Aiq doesn't like this new trend of people misquoting him.

M'aiq prefers his pauldrons to come in pairs. They are easy enough to lose as they are, without the need to search across the country for a matching set.

M'aiq thinks riding a dragon would be very uncomfortable. They're spikey and scaley, and always trying to rip off your head.

Is this thread solely meant for putting down features people would like to see in the game in a 'funny' way?
I come across a lot of posts that just seem spiteful.

Maybe we should try to keep it genuinly funny.

M'aiq used to pay fisherman to speed his travels. Times change, now fishermen are poor.

M'aiq always felt safe in Cyrodiil, M'aiq always knew what to expect.

M'aiq likes apples for eating. M'aiq tried watching one once but thinks looking at apples is overrated.

M'aiq used to jump over small rivers. M'aiq cannot jump so well any more, feels like M'aiq's feet are too short.

M'aiq always wears armor under his robe. To not wear armor would be foolish, to not wear a robe would be uncouth.

M'aiq wonders why humans do not freeze to death wearing armor so close to their skin.

M'aiq spent years practising with his dagger, now M'aiq is as skilled with a mace. M'aiq does not think this makes sense.

M'aiq once broke his dagger blocking a mace. M'aiq's life was saved when he found a pointed stick.

M'aiq wears a right glove for luck, a left pauldron for style. M'aiq pities those who have neither.

M'aiq enchants all his clothes but he is careful not to spoil his fun.

Arrows are for shooting things, signposts should be followed. M'aiq cannot understand why some get the two confused.

When M'aiq wants someone to like him he gives them a slice of pie. Sadly, not everyone likes pie.

If it happens to be 200 years after Oblivion, I doubt M'aiq will be alive. Perhaps there's a M'aiq IV? A family tree of liars.

M'aiq is an easter egg, laws of time and space do not apply to him. I'm fairly certain M'aiq is actually some kind of god.

Anyway, got some lines off the top of my head, take them for what they are, I'm not promising comedic gold here.

"It's amazing how fast you can travel these days, I want to go to a different city? *poof* I'm there."

"M'aiq is not a fan of Dragons, they are too loud, always shouting."

"Have you ever met a small child? No? Strange."

"Let me tell you something about spotted owls, they smell terrible."
