What will happen if I inject the FEV

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 9:56 am

I have Broken Steel, but I am just curious to what the wasteland will be like after completing the main quest. I'm currently at Raven Rock, so i'm a little bit away still from that part, but I was wondering what you guys and girls have experienced if this was done? Thanks

If you use the FEV, the endgame will talk about how your purified the wasteland, showing pictures of people across the game world who have died.

When you wake up, that will not be the case, basically people get tummyaches from it.

Ok, cool. Just wasn't sure if there was less super mutants in the wastes afterwords. I still want to kill them lol Sadly I will be losing Fawkes as I think you get negative karma for injecting the FEV. I've never had fawkes before either lol my karma is rarely good.

Nothing really happens unfortunately. In-lore the FEV wipes the CW clean, however Bethesda obviously didn't intend for people to insert the FEV when they made Broken Steel (since why would you side with the Enclave and then join back up with the BOS again?)

Its all a result of Bethesda originally not intending to make Broken Steel. As a result, the storyline gets screwy.

Rainbows spew from the purifier, and the world reverts to Pre-War life, no rubble, no radiation. It's a magic time rewind button.

i'm really curious to what the combo of Lag Bolts combat armor and an enclave helmet looks like...it could look quite scary lol and I didn't lose enough karma, to lose Fawkes. Its really the only reason I rushed through the main quest, just so I could aquire that armor. I don't plan on doing any of the broken steel stuff for awhile. I'm also a little tempted to start killing BOS on site. We'll see.

I fully support this plan. Holotag collections for everyone!

This is a different question, but do I have to progress through the broken steel quests, in order to be able to find the 'Sorry, My Darling' holotape? I really just want to get the armor and shades, I would prefer not to have to these quests yet.

Yeah, you can't get to the holotape until you go through the metro on your way to the final quest. You could pick up the holotape and then travel back the way you came and leave the end of Broken Steel for a later date.

Alrighty, i'll probably do that then. Have the other DLCs to do and all the other side quests. Beat the main quest in 15 hours, give er take a few.

You don't need to backtrack the whole way you came. Once you get the holotape, move to the next room where the robot will activate the power in the station if you don't get in his way. Once the power is switched on, you can exit from the stairs near where you found the holotape as the door can now operate. It takes you to a shortcut through the Capitol building (can't remember if that's what it's called) and out the back door where you can fast travel.

Question. Is Broken Steel the raisin why we shouldn't be able to continue the game after the main quests?

It's not the raisin but it's the reason.

It's partially why they didn't do it in NV (the other part is the ending slides and the many endings) and why they shouldn't do it for F4.

I have nothing wrong with a definitive ending.

I would say the main reason is just the impossibility of satisfactorily depicting a post-game world that displays the choices you made.

Broken Steel just drove that point home.

Ghouls, feral ghouls, mutated people, supermutants, etc, anything not pure human die.

It does'nt happen immediately.

You get end slides that say the genome was cleared up, at the cost of many lives. Dead ghouls, supermutants, wastelanders, etc.
Then gradually as you play, you see wastelanders, etc dying. The people in megaton go to the doctor and get given aqua pura, and get worse and worse.

You should do it. It's good.
Evil but once you do it, it's fun.

It's as far as you can go with siding with the enclave, sadly.

Do it! Help President Eden and the Enclave! :D

Broken Steels awesome.
It was'nt just a dlc, it was fixing the major, braindead mistake that is the vanilla ending.

I really hope the combo of an Enclave Helmet and Lag Bolts armor is going to look as sick as I think it is lol i've had good karma up to this point. but I think I should almost become a slaver if I wear this outfit.

I love how people ask other people 'what happens when i do this' or 'should i or should i not do this?'

IT'S LIKE A CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE!!! TAKE A CHANCE AND DO SOMETHING RATHER THAN ASK US ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!

:stare: Seriously, play the game and take a chance

lol I understand that. I just didn't want there to be less super mutants and other enemies to kill, afterwords. Thats why I asked here. I tried searching it on google and other places, but I figured this place was the best as there are so many hardcoe fallout fans who have the answers. Its a good community.

Absolutely [censored] nothing, Skyrim is a continuing reminder that Bethesda's fails to show us any impact for our actions.
