What will be the Deathclaws or Behemoths of Skyrim besides t

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2010 6:48 am

Just wondering on you guy's ideas on who you think will be the next badass creature in Skyrim besides the dragons, and what creature do you think can put up a good fight with a dragon?
I remember in Oblivion I would also go hunting Minotuar Lords and Ogre's and in Fallout 3 Deathclaws. :flamethrower:

I chose "Ice Yetis" which I interpreted to mean "http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Frost_Giant."

Though, honestly, dragons are the behemoths, and I doubt we'll see much in the way of competition for them.

I voted on the Saber Tooth Tiger, which I hope they make pretty large like 10ft long or so. To be honest though there are a few creatures in the list that could put up a good fight for 2nd place to dragons.

But then again, what the [censored] can compete with a dragon?

I was beginning to wonder where the NPC's found mudcrabs more fearsome than me.
The answer was Skyrim

Mammoths. Two or three at a time could take on a dragon head-on and most likely beat it.

I forgot about Daedroths yes those were the strongest Daedra but were not stronger then a Ogre or a Minotuar Lord

Mammoths are obviously pretty powerful creatures, but I don't think they'll be as aggressive as some of the other creatures on that list. They're definitely dangerous, like elephants, but I don't think they're gonna try to maul you to death every time they see you. If they're super aggressive though, then yeah, I'd probably put them at the top.

I feel like sabertooth tigers deserve this title though. They'll be lookin for fresh meat and realistically, I'd think they'd easily be comparable to a deathclaw. I'd think they'd be fast, agile, sneaky, strong, and hungry. Well, not always hungry, but you get my drift. What do you guys think?

Ever fought Karstaag in Bloodmoon? Yeah, my vote goes to the yeti...even though he is an ice giant, but I know most people are not going to interpret them as that.

Ice Giants: Intelligent Humanoid

Dragons: Intelligent Creature

Mammoth: Instinctive Creature

Draugr Greybeard: Instinctive Humanoid

Golden Saint: Intelligent Daedra/Arcane

Dwemer Centurion: Instinctive Daedra/Arcane

Those are my picks for the highest castes.

Im thinking that since the giants supposedly herd the mammoths, that they will be at least a little stronger. I wonder how many giants live together......there might also be a seperate style giant that could be called "giant chieftan" or something similiar. If there are upgraded versions of giants (leaders), then I think they would be second strongest under dragons. Also, if we DO get werewolves, they could be formidable opponents (unless you have silver, heh)

I'm hoping for a few LIches that are extremely powerful and can wtfpwn us unless we go in stocked with the right potions/spells and have a strategy in mind. If you run into one randomly and are taken by surprise I really think they should be a "flee from or die" enemy type. They looked awesome in Oblivion I thought but felt a bit meh otherwise. Given other things use the dragon language though, they should be properly imba this time. :D
