what will the game feel like?

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 3:51 am

if you know what i mean, every game has its own feel. cod games have their feel, battlefield have theirs, and i was wondering what skyrim will feel like?
considering the controls,
fluidity of the controls and movement,
combat,
and graphics.

i think it'll be pretty smooth gameplay, and i used to be scared about the graphics but after looking at new pics, they almost look like real life snap shots.
the mist coming out from the trees in the orc picture, and the grass blades so detailed. in oblivion the grass was mostly just a few patches and mostly texture.

your opinions?

I was going to say warm apple pie...... But decided to take the high road...

Er.....

Edit- Ok sorry about that, but seriously I think it will be epic. The first TES game character I created was a Nord warrior named Thaldren. Now he's returning home :P.

I don't agree with smooth. TES always felt a little jerky when compared to a straight up action game.

Gooey? idk, these forums are probably one of the worst places to ask that question. no one will agree to any thing, but you can go ahead and pick which opinion you like.

Well for me it will have three main feelings. The first will be a plastic feeling in the shape of a rectangular prism. The second will be circular....the third? Well I leave those details in the bedroom.

It should be smoother with the addition of Havok animation now. And the context sensitive auto kills will make the game feel so much smoother (at the expense of interactiveness).

Movement speed is now variable instead of static. Walking smoothly transitions into running. Before running was like an on/off switch.

I think it's gonna feel a bit slow, but that's how TES has always been, and how I want it to stay!
