Only 2 remain for me this year. I have been burned to much lately.

Brink
Battlefield 3

And if these 2 games fail me I'm taking up underwater basket-weaving.

There's a much higher chance Brink could fail then Battlefield 3. Brink has a much bigger chance to fail doing something new, I'm not saying they game is going to fail, I'm just saying it has a bigger chance to fail then BF3.

Battlefield 3 really has no chance to fail, as it is upgrading it's engine, adding jets (which is the most awesome thing ever...), and just making an overall better experience.

This year I'm hoping to pick up these titles:

Portal 2
Mortal Kombat
Battlefield 3
And Borderlands 2 whenever that releases, which will be a long time

Not really interested in anything else at the moment.

I wouldn't get Homefront.

Heard it's terrible, heard it's great... and to be honest, it doesn't look half-bad from all the gameplay videos I've watched. I'll check it out when it's cheap, just like I did with BC2.

I think if you want a military fps then BF3 will be more than enough. I'm thinking about BF3 myself, along with Skyrim and might look into Rage a bit more.

Aaaand, despite my general distaste for the franchise, I will nevertheless be looking into Modern Warfare 3. My hopes and expectations for the game are all rather low though.

After Brink, I'll probably buy Battlefield 3 and / or Portal 2. I also still need a whole lot of other games, like AC 2 and brotherhood, Mass Effect series, Fable 3...

Portal 2 if the price goes down a decent amount, Saints Row 3 if not.

This, I guess.
And perhaps Skyrim, if 3rd person works well in it. And if the Kajihd walk properly.

Rockstar will always be the strange development team in my opinion, their character don't exactly move fluently, and they get stuck on almost everything. However the games are always fun.

True, they don't focus too much on character movement (yet they are the only team who used Euphoria so far), but instead on the Story.

To me, that's a major plus over almost every other developer, who are just like "Graphics! Graphics! Graphics! Buy this game for teh graphics! Dem r awshum!!!"

Sorry, i should have made myself clearer. I know what Skyrim is, i was saying it as that will be what i next buy, but in a way like "Can there be anything else?"
