I won't give him a class, since classes are names and labels to given to characters that create artificial boundaries.

This game is too dumbed down for class naming, I'm afraid. If it were like Morrowind, where classes mattered, that would be a different story...

I have been thinking alot about this. I usualy tend to shy away from using magic because I never could really get involved in the system and I always felt vulnerable being a mage, but I think I might actualy try it this time. I may roll a mage with decent sword skills for backup and call the class a swordcaster or something to that effect.

I will probably play a mage.

Then, I will probably get frustrated several hours into the game, after I realize that in order to become a decent mage, I will have to blow an excessive number of perks and even then will only be able to cast spells based on how long I can hold down a mouse button without getting sick of it.

Then I will play a principled assassin.

Ranger or scout would probably be the best description for the type of character I roleplay.

You're kind've right there. :( I'm going to have a hard time roleplaying the character I want now that the athletics and acrobatics skills have been removed. Not to mention the attributes.

Since there are no classes, thanks alot Todd and Co. , there is no reason to give your character a class. It's nothing more than what skills will you use.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

In Morrowind, classes were nothing more than a label that you gave to a group of skills that you used and leveled up to specialize your character and become better.

In Skyrim, you still have a group of skills that you focus on and level to specialize your character and become better. You gain perks to further specialize and customize your character and make him unique. They simply took out the label for the group of skills.

So, no label = dumbed down???

WTF?
