what will you call your enchanted weapon

Post » Wed Jul 20, 2011 6:44 am

enchanting has been confirmed and bethesda have said it will be alot more accessible than in oblivion.Because you had to be in the mages guild in oblivion to do it ,and if you ended up like me having to go get loads off random flowers and stuff to be reinstated then this will be good news for you .but the purpose of this post is too get ideas from you off what you will call your weapons and armour enchantments,if the names are good enough i will also name them that in my game . my example would be someting like shadowfang ,althalos or thunderstrike

Depends on the piece of equipment and the enchantment. For example, I may name a ring inbued with a chameleon effect "Predator's Band" or I may name a soul-trapping sword "Demon's Thirst"

I shall have the awesome sword Tyrfing. The finger of Tyr, the God of War. And it won't be enchanted. It'll just be awesome.

My fire-enchanted short-sword I'll most likely call Heretic's Bane. I'll likely enchant a bow as well but Its name depends on what effect I'll give it.

Bob the Great Axe of Sundering

I'm typically boring and usually just call them 's of

Unless I'm playing my Orc characters, then I just make up names that sound orcish.

I usually name enchanted weapons and armor after things I create in my personal fictions. For example, in Oblivion, my character has an ebony claymore named Nightwing, with health draining abilities, which I got from a story I'm working on in which the main character uses a black vampiric blade of the same name. Other than that, I just fit the name to the enchantment, like an elven longsword with frost damage enchantments named Frostwake.
