What will you be doing for Skyrim?

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 8:55 am

I'm sure many of you already have more than enough money to buy several copies of our greatly anticipated game but a lot of us are going to be going to great lengths for Skyrim. I already have enough money for the game but this time I'm going PC. Only problem is well, my pc :brokencomputer: . To get money for a new one, I will be searching for jobs all over town next year, and in September I'm going to be working at a honda dealership cleaning up some cars. What will you be doing for Skyrim?

Well my PC was just built a year ago and handles DX11 fine, so I imagine no matter what Bethesda throws at us it will look good. So I guess I'll just do the jobs I already do, announce for the local football and baseball leagues and mow lawns.

I want to build my own PC just for Skyrim, so obviously I'll need to find a job. I plan on applying to a few places this weekend, actually.

We don't actually know enough about the game yet to see if everyone needs to go on an upgrading spree. But if it is some super sixy DX11 monster I will be very happy. Just imagine all of the tessellation!

I recently upgraded my PC with a GTX 480 and a new Mobo, however next year when I get my massive tax return I will be sinking most of that money into a new system.

I want to have a kick ass system, not mainly for Skyrim, but for any other heavy graphics games that will be released next year.

I'm going to wait a while longer before I get a new rig. I have one of the fastest DX9 cards out there and I want to get as much out of it as I can. Hopefully Skyrim won't require a DX10 card.

Hopefully, I wont be doing aything computer related. (Please, let my computer run the thing!) I actually doubt my computer will be outdated so quickly, it's only a few months oold, I believe.

But, there is SOMETHING I'm doing:

Working like I normally do. Money will go to a new PC depending on whether I find the DRM used in Skyrim acceptable.

I will abstain any physical or verbal contact with the female folk.

You could always do the opposite to make some money too :whistling:

... I'm talking about being a dance instructor, what were you thinking?

I know I'm betraying you and mocking the very name of Skyrim and all, but I will be getting it on PS3, so I won't have to worry about my specs. I just have to buy it.

I'm planning to save up for the top of the line Radeon at release and get a super powered aftermarket CPU fan and tweak it up to a good 4 ghz.

Probably will double my RAM to 8 gigs too.

This is, of course, all stuff I plan to do anyways.

Buying a new Xbox 360 Slim because I still have my 360 from 2006 and it sounds like its going to explode any day now. Also, I only have 1.5 gigs left on my hard drive and I want to be able to install Skyrim on my Hard drive.

Actually, I'm planning on getting the game for my Xbox. And if the game needs mods, I'll get it for my PC. But I never get as into the experience on my computer as I do on the Xbox. Probably because the screen is smaller  .

I'll probably upgrade to 8 gigs of ram and get a nice HD sound card. I'll wait to upgrade my 4850, since I'm too cheap to buy any of the newer models yet.

And rich people tend to have good security. I say go for poor single mothers and just take whatever isn't nailed down.
