What will you dual weild?

Post » Thu Feb 25, 2010 8:25 pm

Until I can judge the performance of the system (how the different weight weapons swing, how hard it is to block with a shield, how dodging works, how much advantage two weapons gives, etc), I really can't say.

Many of my Oblivion characters were sword & board type, with shortswords (it varied, though - sometimes I liked longswords for the extra reach, sometimes I preferred shortswords for better speed).

Tell that to Saruman....

Gladly. It'll be a message carved on the arrowshaft protruding between his eyes.

Dual daggers. I'm planning to play a stealth build first time through.

In other builds I plan on sword / axe / mace + shield, then sword + spell.

For whatever reason, two full-sized one handed weapons doesnt feel right.

Sword+Dagger

Primary damaging enchantment on sword, and a corresponding damage ability on the dagger.

Ex: Sword = Fire Damage, Dagger = Weakness to Fire

Sword + Staff for me. While I was never much of a LotR fan, Gandalf got me hooked on Sword + Staff.

Alternatively, Dagger + Telekinesis.

Dual Axes for sure.

Chopping and chopping, each hit making them bleed more and more.

Storms Tsunamis and Oceans of blood!

Let it Rain! and uh... lets hope bleeding stacks?

Sword and sword. I have the feeling that I'm going to leave my comfort zone of being a mage with skyrim and go for an explorer/adventurer. :toughninja:

My khajitt assassin will dual wield daggers. One for the lung and one for the throat when I sneak up behind someone. And I'll use them to poke dragons for irritation.

My dunmer Thief/Adventurer (Blade, block, with marksman) will be using a long/shortsword and (hopefully) a buckler/targe for melee, and bow for Ranged.
I really hope they add small shields for the more agility/speed based characters.

I'll try everything, eventually. But I have not really desided if I'll be an archer, dagger assassin or a mage, dagger assassin. So either dagger spell, spell spell, sagger dagger, dagger -, or bow.

I'm gonna try pretty much every possible combination. For the first character (argonian assassin) I'll use the bow&arrows as first weapon and 2x poison daggers as secondary. Then I'll roll a bulky Nord with 2xbiggest swords I can find.

Dagger and spell, all the way.
I'll be playing a Dunmer Rogue/Mage and there's really nothing like knifing a person in the back then burning the corpse too dust before his mate can come round and find it.

So what will you guys dual wield? Did I miss any combinations?

Can you count bow and arrow and sword and shield as a "duel wield"? i mean there always together just seems a but redundant that there on the options list
