Yeah, tell me about it. Especially on the alliance side I saw a lot of desperation for generic names. When they are all taken, they struggle to improvise something like or . it's quite funny, but I try to avoid them

I'm never lost for a cool name, so I don't need to set one up ahead of time. When the "What is your name?" comes up, I'll name my character then. And it will be better than anyone else's.

Haven't decided yet, I'll come up with a name when I'm in the character creation menu. Browsing the face options for my Argonian will give me inspiration. I did the same in Oblivion.

I am really bad at comming up with names so I usually just pick what the game says your name is or my real name, but for once I wan't to name him something "cool"

It depends on what race and appearence I'll choose, if I decide to make a Nord, and I can remove one of his eyes then I might name him Odin.

Will she look anything like Megan Fox? Or as close as you can get to an actual giant fox?

Back in 6th grade i was really into JRR Tolkein, i picked up that book, read the first sentense and returned it because just the first sentense blew my mind.

But as of my first character, it will be a Dunmer Assassin, with some magic knowledge and a master at Alchemy.

As of a name, probably my real name, or one of my Oblivion names Xaij, the Dark Assassin.

No background story, no origin. (Except dovakiin)

As I already posted in the other thread about it I will most likely name my Dunmer N'wah Chimer what is dunmeri for Stranger of the nordic people

Pick an ancient civilization that interests you then do a search for names from that culture, you'll find a huge list of new name options in no time.

First PC will be a canon type, Male Nord Barbarian. I usually use a MW name generator or go through named Nords in MW and OB on the Wiki to find something I like.

No problem! I used to have the same problem and that's how I fixed it. If I ever have a daughter her name will be Greek in origin.

Pick an NPC from Morrowind or Oblivion, use their name, and pretend you're a descendent.

I'll make a Nord swordsman/ranger and call him Minsc :thumbsup:
