Probably high perception (I don't like surprises) high intelligence and high agility.
Charisma and intellect. Maybe with a bit of luck. I like agility too but if we have a low special pool it'll go into charisma and intellect.

Not sure about stats curently but more or less very charming lucky fella.
What I've usually picked in the past is probably what I'll go with for my character:

I usually go for avoiding combat as much as I can, hoping to talk my way out of as much as possible, stealthing and sniping wherever I can't. That also gives me a bit of room to improve my attributes later in the game; and 3 is about as low as I'm comfortable going with for STR and END. I've been pretty successful with that build since Fallout 1, so it tends to be my go-to setup in these games. The actual characters tend to be different (focused more on Stealth and Barter in New Vegas, and more Science and Repair in Fallout 3,) but the base stats have historically worked out pretty well for me in the past.
Having less points than normal sort of throws me off, so I haven't really thought about it.
For me it is a bit early to make a decision like that. When I learn more I may start planning my first build, but I may wait until the Bathroom Scene before I make a decision.
Thinking about tagging the usual. Sneak, speech, an- oh wait.
But from what I've read from SPECIAL, I'd say, uh, Strength and Agility maybe? I don't know, I don't remember them exactly. I do however remember Intelligence sounding useless as [censored] as I recall it basically being "MOAR XP" if that description I saw of it from gameplay footage meant anything. Sounds like a waste of points to distribute into an attribute if you ask me.
21 points at the start of the game.
P.S. I never played Fallout before, do you earn more points as you rank up?
Is it possible to max out each stat, if not I'll think more carefully choosing what to spend my points on.
Oh, I hadn't thought of that, I think they changed the starting values this time out.
Well, I'll come up with something at character creation, but I'll likely keep to the same strategy - as low as I feel comfortable going with STR and END, and focusing on CHA, INT, and AGI (in roughly that order.)
Can you take back the points as well?
Like when I overspent points in one stat and I want to take some points back from there to different stat.
sorry I'm nub ;_;
You can do, but you'll have to waste a valueable perk to do it. Can't remember what it was called. Also there was another perk that right at the top end would set all stats to 9.
As for me, I usually go stealthy so high agility, then perception and then endurance or luck.
Strength - 5
Perception - 2
Endurance - 6
Charisma - 2
Intelligence - 6
Agility - 3
Luck - 4
I like the new power armor, so this is my rough attempt at doing a new energy weapon, power armor, and intelligence spec. Not sure if I should put more into agility sacrificing luck.
Strength - 3
Perception - 7
Endurance - 3
Charisma - 3
Intelligence - 3
Agility - 6
Luck - 3
Want to beable to use vat's well. Also looks like stats are really going to have a big effect on how your PC plays.
Not sure yet, but i am sure about is my first character is going to be the wife. I like the idea of a fairly ordinary mom trying to make it in the wasteland(eat [censored] Brockovich) so high perception, luck and maby charisma. Low strength and endurance.
Should be a hoot, unless you know, you turn out to be some super soldier on maternityleave or something.
ill likely be averaging my stats out with high luck

I like to get all the character interaction possible and all routes of dialogue open to me. Also max Luck to experience as many weird and funny things as possible. The rest doesn't really matter much as the game seems to be mostly about how well I aim, not my character, and there will be plenty of mules to carry my stuff.
Ummmm..you want be carry much in the wasteland dude!
I'll probably tag Energy weapons, speech and repair... *drops mike*
Edit:
Ninja'd by Legion64... dam!
I know charisma's always been a real popular stat, but I almost like the idea of playing through with a complete social clutz. Some unappealing egghead.
