your all going to point and laugh. I spent 1.5 grand on this piece of shiz 2 years ago and it came with a 256 mb ati graphics card. 2 years ago i had just moved to canada from new zealand, and in new zealand you dont get a good computer. You get good ram though (hahahahaha...sheep humor.) so i knew nothing about computers.

anyway, the specs:

amd 2.7 triple core processor (dont know the model number).
3 gigs ddr3 ram.
1gb nvidia 9400 evga (guy at tiger direct said it would be "good for gaming" pfft...).
some random soundcard.

Anything you guys think i need to upgrade? also my processor is unclocked, what do you guys think i could overclock it to without needing to buy a better cooling system as apposed to my current lolfan.

Edit: i expect to run it on the lowest graphics.

The 4th "LOL XOBX 360" post because it apparently never gets old for you guys.

I don't recommend you seriously consider overclocking. You would have to learn a lot more first. You definitely need to upgrade your video card but that's assuming your power supply is already decent. As it is now it would probably still run Brink on low as you expected. With computers you don't ask "should I" but more like "what can I do with ___ money?"

My computer is pretty old, I'm hoping that i will be able to run Brink at a good FPS even if i have to dumb down the graphics

Q9300 (Intel 2.5 GHz Quad)
4GB DDR2 RAM
XFX HD5770

As far as peripherals go though, I'm quite happy with where I stand

A modest 18.5" 1336x768 monitor
G15 keyboard
G500 mouse
G35 headset
(I'm a fan of Logitech, but not of the prices, so I shop on Ebay =D)

im an avid pc gamer but more and more it seems like a never ending cycle, I can shell out 300 bucks on an xbox or ps3 and be at the same performance level as everyone else for 3 years or so, with my computer I endlessly upgrade to keep my performance up with a never ending cycle of games, Ive spent around 2000 bucks on my comp I coulda bought so many more games for my xbox.
