What will you play for the next 10 months?

I want to get all the achivements on Oblivion, so although I have completed it. I am redoing it with a mage and then a fighter to get those guilds, as so far I only have all the theif and Dark Brotherhood ones, as I think its a little silly to have a character in guilds that I think don't match, i.e. fighter and Mage etc.

I know they re a little gimmicky, but the achivements on the xbox 360 do give some replay value and are fun to try to get, so I have always liked this aspect of the 360. Never fancied the shimmering isles for some reason.
Will also redo Morrowind. I play that at least once every couple of years because its the benchmark for me.

Might also buy a couple of other titles, but as I have got older, less games appeal to me. 10 years ago I would have rushed out to get Call of Duty etc, but now I am not fussed.

Maybe some Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas; combined with EVE Online and (hopefully) Star Wars The Old Republic (provided it will be released in spring). Also playing Half-Life 2 on occasion :)

I got Sacred Gold for $7 off the gog.com site... it is a decent game. It plays like Diablo 2, but has scaling like Oblivion. You can travel anywhere and do any quest at any time if you want, or you can just follow the main quest path if you want to see the story. The world is pretty darn big and the Gladiator I made is already level 25 only 3 zones in with something like 15 more zones to explore. The rate at which enemies come at you, then respawn makes the game an exercise in large-scale massacring of evil-doers. In one zone there were tons of goblins in loose packs, in another it was bands of thieves, and a 3rd had mobs of 6 orcs and goblins with a boss thrown in most of the time. I did fight a dragon and I must say.... it felt epic. It is a shame that the hardest difficulties are only unlocked after playing all the way through the main quest on the "normal" difficulty though. You will die occasionally (or frequently if you try to 'glass cannon' right from the start) on normally difficulty, so I can not wait to try the harder ones.

Because of intricate stat and skill system it does not seem to fail like Oblivion did in that department. Every level you gain 10% of your starting values (what you character has when created) in every attribute and 1 point you can place wherever you like. You also receive an increasing number of skill points as you level... at level 1-3 it was like 1 point a level, then 2 for a while, then 3, ... but it is balanced by the increase the number of skills you character progresses at each of those tiers. No character can have all skills even at level 210+ since you do not get the option for more after 50. The skills enhance your character's abilities which have their own leveling system. You receive bonus levels to random skills when you complete quests and kill NPCs. Some quests and tough enemies are more likely to give ability bonuses, but it is all totally random.

It is actually not a good idea to level an Ability a bunch if you are lucky and receive many tokens for the same one in a short time. Every level increase that an ability receives (even bonuses to ability levels on gear) increase the cooldown duration for that ability. There are skills and attributes that counter this increase, but it takes time leveling up and collecting gear that gives the appropriate stats for what you need.

I hate the whole concept of using the mouse for EVERYTHING in a game like in Diablo 2 and Sacred., but it is fun even if my clicking finger is becoming extremely sore.

Oh ya, you can play with up to 15 other people using a LAN. The rate at which enemies spawn in some areas makes me wish my friends had the game as well. Although it is not too hard to massacre hordes of demons/undead/goblins solo (if specced and geared for it).

Well, I've basically been playing Morrowind for the past nine years, last time being two days ago, so I don't see that changing anytime soon. I've also been playing Oblivion religiously since it came out, if that counts for anything. I'm re-playing Daggerfall for the fifth time, and I plan on doing a play-through or two on Arena (still the only ES game I haven't gotten the chance to beat). All in all, I'd say I'm pretty good until Skyrim's release.

I did not vote because you can only choose 1 option and that is simply too little for me
The games I will play to get psyched for Skyrim is:
  • Morrowind
  • Oblivion
  • Fallout 3
  • I've actually never played FNV, but maybe I'll buy it to get something new to play :hehe:

I'm actually discovering Morrowind for the first time. I really love this game! =D I'll play this game until Skyrim comes out.

Although, it's kinda sad, knowing what will happen in less than a generation. :( I wish I could warn them.

personally, i'd love to play ALL of them, but...

arena/daggerfall/battlespire/redguard: cant find them anywhere and i wouldnt even know how to play them since they require that DOSbox thing, dont they?

morrowind: i have it on PC, but im kinda waiting on tamriel rebuilt to finish with the mainland...

oblivion: i have it for PC, but my gaming PC isnt nearly good enough to play it at its best.

fallout 3/new vegas: i have fallout 3 for ps3, but due to the game being so unstable and freezing/crashing once the save file reaches a certain size, i havent been playing it for a very long time... probably never will again unless i get a god-like PC, same goes for new vegas, wont get it til i have a strong PC.

so, since i cant play any of those games, i'll be keeping myself with tons of other games throughout the year until skyrim comes out...

these games are: lord of arcana, marvel vs capcom 3, warriors: legends of troy, dynasty warriors 7, dissidia duodecim, infamous 2, mortal kombat 9, twisted metal for ps3, street fighter X tekken & tekken X street fighter [if they come out this year], and possibly some others im forgetting...

of course, once skyrim comes out, im likely gonna drop all the other games.

NV is worth it, just don't think about Fallout 3 too much and let go of the BOS.

Well. I just finished my Morrowind playthrough and am now planning to play through all TES games again.
I started a new Arena game a few days ago, and have to say, It's awesome! And the soundtrack. It's glorious!
After this Arena playthrough I'll play Daggerfall, Battlespire and Redguard. Maybe Morrowind again, and finally Oblivion. :D

Well I bought X3:Terran Conflict in the recent Steam sale and could easily see myself playing that until November, but I will be sure to tear myself away from it for The Witcher 2 in May!

I have Alpha Protocol waiting for me after finishing FNV. Also there is Dragon Age 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Heroes VI coming out to ease my wait for Skyrim. On the PS3 I'm at last going to play Uncharted 1 & 2 and MGS4 (replaying Oblivion on it right now!). I think those games can keep me interested until November.

Come on guys!!! You forgot about Total War Shogun 2. This one would be awsome! Cos every TW game is great so far (even buggy Empire).
Plus a little bit of Morrowind, Oblivion, Witcher 2 and Rage. Guess that's all))))))

Much like ex-Girlfriends, you can never go back... So I definitely won't be playing Morrowind or Oblivion.

I tried playing Ob the other day and it looked so dated (even though I know it's not). Meh, I'm a graphics [censored] I guess..

However, I'll be passing the time with COD; black ops / Brink / Infamous 2 / Silent Hill VIII / Unchartered 3 / Duke Nukem Forever

Still playing a bit of Morrowind with my weird spear, sneak, unarmored, mysticism hybrid.
Also collecting a ton of mods for my next playthrough of Oblivion.

Right now I'm playing Vampire of the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Assassins Creed 2. I'm probably going to pick up Portal 2 and Zelda: Skyward Sword and Duke Nukem Forever before Skyrim comes out.
