What will you do?

Post » Mon Sep 12, 2011 8:38 am

So guys, what will you do once you start up the game for the first time?
1. What race will you pick?
2. What is your combat plan? (Weapons, armor, ect.)
3. What will you do first? (Follow the main quest, roam and explore, join random factions, ect)
4. What are your crafting plans? (blacksmith, enchanter, ect.)

For example my plans are....

1. Ima be a Nord
2. I am planning on using axes in one hand and destruction magic skills in the other (switching between dual axes and a shield maybe) I will try to be profficient in both light and heavy armor, for dif situations, and just be an overall brute. (Makes sense for the story line for me)
3. I will follow the main quests until I get my first Shout and dragons start appearing, after that I will join factions and roam around collecting dragon souls and other shouts while joining factions and doing side quests until I feel like continuing with the story.
4. I want to be an expert blacksmith so I can make all my weapons and armor.

2. Archery, Light Armor, Sneak
3. Dark Brotherhood and Stormcloaks
4. Alchemy, probably. Maybe some Smithing so I can make cool looking Hide armors. (?)

Illusion, Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, Alteration, Enchanting, Smithing, Heavy Armor, Block, Two-handed, One-handed, Archery, Light Armor, Sneak, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Speech, and Alchemy

1. Wood elf (or imperial...haven't quite decided yet...may be decided upon based on initial stats/how i'm feeling at the time)
2. [for either race] Bow as main, with defensive spell and 1h weapon as backup
3. Roam and explore for quite some time, stumble upon a city eventually and search for quests there/steal items to make a nice little fortune. Then set out into the wilderness with new gear to see what's out there.
4. If imperial will focus on smithing, if woodelf will focus on alchemy

Breton or Altmer, pure magic run with heavy armor. I'll do whatever comes naturally to me, probably a mix of everything. Crafting wise, probably just Enchanting and Alchemy for magicka potions.

1. Breton
2. Magic, no armour, robes instead
3. Look at Skyrim's environment in awe, explore, get to the College of Winterhold, ignore the main quest for now.
4. Enchanting, probably some Alchemy too.

I will look into the Mage's Guild, and try to track down Guardian Stones. I'll probably survey the countryside outside the starting town.

3:Explore do few dungeons sell something and I will join to stormcloack/empire (I have not decided yet, but I think I will go with rebels)
4:I wana test the smithing in either case I will probadly make my own armor/weapons ( not I got some by looting)

I'll most likely play a Nord, wielding swords and magic. Regardless of whatever plans I set out to accomplish though, I know for a fact I'll end up bumbling around the countryside and rummaging through random people's sock drawers, and looting their pantry.

I would be staring at the opening first and then creating my character.

1. Breton
2. Sneak, archery, dueling... well anything actually I want to try them all.
3. ...I have no idea actually, so many choices and so many things to explore
4. Everything, but first going to be failing at cooking.

1. What race will you pick?
-While Argonians are my favored race, I will most likely start with my Imperial Guardswoman to learn the mechanics and such. I'll get to my argonian characters later when I get a grasp on the game.
2. What is your combat plan? (Weapons, armor, ect)
-Pretty much what you'd expect from a guard. Sword and shield, heavy armor.
3. What will you do first? (Follow the main quest, roam and explore, join random factions, ect)
-Probably find out how to join the Imperial legion and other factions. Then touch on the main quest in between, and do exploring -while- I'm questing.
4. What are you crafting plans? (blacksmith, enchanter, ect.)
-My interest in crafting on various games, especially MMO's, have been minimal. Even when you could bring materials to that guy in Mournhold, Morrowind... I honestly didn't bother. It was easier to buy pieces outright.
That said, it depends on my concept. My guardswoman may take up blacksmithing.

I think I might actually make a Bosmer. It really depends on how I'm feeling at the time as to what race I'll pick. And heck, I might even go do something insane, like make a brutish Nord or Orc character. I doubt that, though. I think I'll make one of each of them eventually...

Nice thread btw OP

1. Imma be an Imperial, because ive always started out as one since Daggerfall
2. Leather armor and Bow nd Arrow, short range is dual shortswords.
3. Setup near a small town and sell various animal pelts until my skill and money are high
enough to start the main quest, and will do the side quests after I defeat the dragons and fortify myself as as a true warrior/Ranger
4.None, except for enchanting my weapons.

1. Breton. rarely played anything else since my first Nightblade in Arena
2. dual wielded daggers, light armor, stealth
3. roam and explore, join random factions, steal random stuff
4. None. I don't believe in adventurers being as talented craftsmen as people earning a living with it.
Hopefully, there are NPCs craftsmen that are as good as my character could be.

1. Argonian
2. Stealth, archery, with some destruction magic and one-handed blades.
3. I'll do as much of the main quest as I can at the beginning, then do random stuff to level up, probably the mages guild stuff. I'll find a werewolf almost first thing and get lycanthropy. I'll continue the main quest when I'm strong enough.
4. I want to be able to forage armor and weapons AND enchant it. I also enjoy a bit of alchemy.

I would agree with you on this, but if OB is anything to go off of, there wasnt much you can get from NPC's past elven... they'd be like "Yeah I see you have a Dwarvan sword... but would you be interested in buying my steel one instead?? Its the best I got...."

I want to be able to forge weapons and armor beyond what mobs my level would drop me at best, and STILL make it better you know?

1. What race will you pick?
Female Breton (Red hair, green eyes, scars)

2. What is your combat plan? (Weapons, armor, ect.)
Sword & Board, and switch to duel handed magic when needed or to just mix things up. mix light armor and clothes, everything enchanted and upgraded eventually

3. What will you do first? (Follow the main quest, roam and explore, join random factions, ect)
Will start and stop the main quest throught my play-through where and when it feels appropriate, usually end the MQ about the time I finish my playthrough, and fill the gaps with guilds , side quest, and exploring all that I can

4. What are you crafting plans? (blacksmith, enchanter, ect.)
I plan on mastering all forms of crafting, smithing, enchanting, and alchemy will three of my most focused on skills.

I will be a Khajiit Mage that is a Priest of the Nine, he is also quite fond of chickens;

My character’s name is M’Vassa, he is a thirty-three year old Khajiit priest. His ancestors started to worship the Nine and became servants to them after praying for rescue in Kvatch during the Oblivion Crisis. The Champion of Cyrodiil saved them after they were praying for hours for help. At the beginning of Skyrim he is caught crossing the border smuggling copies of The Ten Commands of the Nine Divines across the border. He is very loyal to his faith and would never deal with any Deadra. He also quite likes chickens and will often just watch them move around.

1. Female Dunmer
2. Mace, Shield and heavy armor
3. Probably explore the world first, marking all the places on the map, so it will make it easier to find things later
4. I will want to advance my blacksmith skills to the max, as I will be a Knight/Cleric type character.
