I will wait in line, purchase the game, install the game, then create my character.

That should take at least 5 hours.

I would have gone with the exploration hands down, but with the comment about dungeons/caves being locked at your level when you enter I would prefer not to nerf all the dungeons.

i will begin to mine things and craft swords. mess around with smithing and woodcutting and be an entrepreneur until i get money for a house. then live the life getting drunk at bars every night and go hunting/practice fighting during the day. that is until something eventually comes my way and i am brought out of my every day routine.

Well, in Oblivion I went spelunking until level 30 or so, so probably that again.

There isn't an "Other" option so I chose the closest to be "Explore.."
First 5 hours, I'm going to get out of the tutorial and go into the city to test out the new AI :)

Depends what I feel like. If it starts off like morrowind i will probably explore (they push your right out into the world). If it starts off like oblivion (making you feel like the main quest is VERY IMPORTANT) then i will start that, and then get sidetracked by other quests and probably guilds. But to be honest i'm not sure, hell I haven't even decided what type of character i'm going to play yet.

What about Play a few hours then mod the heck out of the game for the rest? If that is not an option then instead just explore and main Quest.

Obsess over trying to create the perfect character.

Oh yeah, haha. That usually happens to me.

I'll try and get my first bearings in the game by finding a cave and looting the hell out of it, in order to build up a little coinage. Then I'll go into the nearest town and relax a bit. Just talk to the people, get to know the game, settle myself in the world, you know?

None of the above - after 5 hours I will still be in character generation and loving every agonizing tweak of the slider

How I'll play my game for the first 5 hours depends on how the tutorial throws me into the game world. If it seems urgent for me to start the main quest then that's likely what I'll do. But if it i'm not really pushed towards it like in Oblivion then I'll likely explore and do a bunch of side quests.

1. Go thru the tutorial.
2. Exit the cave/ruins/jail/building or w/e it is
3. Main quest / explore

...I might finally be satisfied with the female khajiit character that I make, then see how she looks without the starting outfit. Where's that option?

By side questions you meant side quests right?

Anyhow, I'll explore for about one or two hours, then start doing some side quests. Probably. Mostly I'll just go with the flow, see where it takes me.

Main quest a bit, get sidetracked, rob as many people as possible as blindly as possible. Buy a house, fill basemant with junk.

Also collect as many skulls as possible. :drag:

Character creation, finish tutorial, stay alive, do whatever the main quest tells me to do while passing through the nearest village (and see to how I can get some coin and decent gear, join a guild) if that is doable in under five hours. I do not think so. But really, how can I know until I have the game installed and I get my first views on the land? The tutorial could be long, could be short and I don't even know yet if there is something to do around that place.
