What will you do your first 5 hours?

Beats me because I don't know how long the tutorial is, or how long the ermm...prelude takes, etc.

I'll probably find some combat somewhere in order to test the new combat stuff. Probably swear a bit as well due to my having to push too many buttons in order to fire a stinking flare spell from one hand and slash with the other, only to find that my finishing move looks like it came from the San Diego Chicken [/half-jest]

Too true lol, forgot about that. However after leaving from the game shop, I can see myself sticking to the bumper of the car in front of me, almost gnawing on the steering wheel to get home to rush to the pc and get the disc into the drive. :celebration: Then the usual moment I reserve for reading the manual follows. *sigh*

Take in the beautiful vistas of Skyrim, see the laborers hard at work, the kids hard at play in the mud, see the cities alive with throngs of people, and hope, just hope, I see a dragon.

I like some direction, so Main Quest. But if the game is as awesome as it sounds, I'm sure I'll get destract by 8 million other things first. So realistically? A bit of everything.

Have children been confirmed in Skyrim!?!?!

I'm going to find a npc that has no Quest connections and kill them so i can join the dark brotherhood. Then i'm going to play through the db questline. After that will join another guild or go look for side quests.

Probably going to spend an hour customizing my characters appearance.

Then I'm going to mingle with the natives and check out all the stores.

Finally, I'd leave town and hunt down any monster I came across. (Argonians included.)

I usually start my first playthrough with the main quest, and do whatever else I happen upon along the way. Once I'm done with that, I head to the Wiki to see everything I've missed, then I start a new game and check the Wiki or strategy guide periodically. I like to try and squeeze as much of the game as I can into my second playthrough. Then when I've completed that, I do another playthrough with a more specialized experience.

So yeah, in my first five hours I'll be getting to know the main quest!

Fiddle with the INI file and settings to try and get the optimal balance of eye candy and performance.

First, I'm going to unwrap the case and inhale that new game smell...which somehow it being an Elder Scrolls game makes it smell that much better. Then, well, I'll probably get sidetracked by something shiny or ominous the first few minutes I can free roam....then the rest is history.

I'll end up ignoring the main quest and get svcked into exploration just like the other games. The first hour will be spent in character creation though.

ill do a bit of everything. i just hope we're not thrown into the main quest right away like in oblivion. yes of course you could just let it be. i felt kinda bad though, just wandering around minding my own business when the task of saving the empire was just put on my shoulders.

A normal life. If Esbern give me a house, all mornings i'll take my bow and maybe i hunt some animals. Then I'll explore the place, and perhaps go into a dungeon that seems cool. But...VERY SLOWLY.

I'm definitely heading to the nearest city to just hang around for a while and see this vaunted Radiant AI in action!

(Nothing in the poll was close to this, so I didn't vote...)
