Play the main quest and look for as many side quests as I can in every quest hub I pass through.
I might explore too.

Uh... Blah?

Anyways, I would explore. The landscapes, the towns, the dungeons, npcs... Just get the immediate surrounding area mapped out before I head off to the next region.

Start towards a main city, get a sword/shield, go out and start grinding for monies. And hope the Duplicate Items glitch is back.

Definitely the "explore" option. It's what my instinct dictates: get loot to buy best stuff in town.

First 5 hours?

Go to nearest town, explore it, join up with a mage faction, head to winterhold. ... thats probably about 3 hours... explore a few caves/ruins on the way too.

I guess it depends on what the game allows you to do...
Probably my first hour will be with the face generator trying to get something decent looking.

First 5 hours...mmmmm...well......

If anything like Morrowind or Oblivion it will take me that long to get through the Character development stage and get a half decent looking character with decent skills lol.

Pick a random direction to head in and ignore the MQ xD Join up a guild to make some quick cash to get some good gear and seek out revenge on anyone who was involved in my imprisonment.

I'll work on the main quest, maybe get sidetracked and explore if I'm feeling up to it.

"Other" option, please.

I'll use my 5 first hours in the character creator.

Explore.

Hopefully go one dungeon too far, get in over my head and get crushed by a bad guy that out levels me. Then make a mental note to come back and get revenge a little later. Early game is such a rush.

Morrowind style.

Explore the town/city I am in, or the nearest one. Get into my pure Thief role.
I won't be doing the Main quest until a few characters down the line.

I want to take my time and role play, not rush into everything at once.

Most likely kill everything, or at least mostly everything. And explore while doing so, and quest qhile doing so. Then maybe find stuff and make money while doing so.
