I won't be playing just one character. So off the top of my head, here are some of the alignments of planned characters.

Kai: Chaotic good Imperial swashbuckler type.

Paige: Neutral Good Breton Healer type.

Casslon: Lawful neutral Breton Spellsword

Rayde: Chaotic neutral Orc Warrior

Anarth: Lawful Evil High Elf Wizard

There are more, but these are the main characters I had inspiration for. And to be honest, I am not sure I will get to play through with all of them.

You know I really don't know
I like to think my character will be somewhat evil but when it comes down to it I end up doing the opposite and do nothing but good deeds. Besides everyone is much more happier and relaxed (npcs) when you tend to play the hero and that just makes me feel good and I enjoy the game more :) However I always end up joining the DB because I think the quests they offer are fun, and that goes against being a hero. I also like to kill at random and cause chaos and suffering when I'm bored but I'll always save first then load again

Weird because I was expecting a lot of evil on the poll because I would think that people want to get away with their sneaky evil things where they have no repercussions to their life. But what it looks like is everyone deep down is just a nice little angel that are for world peace and ending starvation. :P

I chose Chaotic Good as my first character, but I'm definitely gonna let my evil out on the second!!

It seems the forces of Good is winning this battle.. I am pleased.

Neutral Good? I mean would that be correct considering he steals from everyone equally but, will help people out if they're in trouble. I really never put a label on my morality though usually just did what I felt was right what ever that may be. Only constant thing I do, do is steal from everyone.

I think Neutral good is an appropriate way to label this.

I usually go between Chaotic Good and Evil.........I didn't vote because I really do not see how a system from NWN 2 has anything to do with TES V!?!?!

I will be chaotic good or chaotic neutral..

Had to go chaotic evil cause I tend to lean towards the sneaking assassin type then once I'm high enough level I like to run around towns on killing sprees. Yeah I'm a sick bastard sometimes but it can be fun
My first character though will probably be neutral good.

Go play an action or shooter game ... this is a role playing game! It ain't about killing all the people ... Assassins kill their targets for a reason, and that doesn't make them evil everytime, they can assassinate an evil person to help the good people...
Even the evil people don't just kill with no reason at all ...

You are just not a role player...

I guess people like to see Assassins as just being evil just because they kill people for a living. When they're not killing people they can still be good, and help people. That's pretty much how I played my Oblivion character, and how I'll play my Skyrim character.

Yeah he'll join the Dark Brotherhood but it'll be mostly for the money/items, and other advantages. Though outside of the brotherhood he'll be a pretty nice/good guy.

When its all said and done, an Assassin can be any alignment, even lawful good(depending on who they're working for).

Wow, Chaotic good was the most popular. :D
And to those who think this has nothing to do with Skyrim, note that this is simply the mindset of that our characters will be in Skyrim.
Also, note that your character's alignment defines your character completely, and doesn't pertain to any specific RRPG.

I completely forgot the terms but I don't live by their description or explanations at all. It's basically how I role in Fallout 3. I have a tendency to show compassion or show help to travelling people like myself, but if I see an opportunity to loot and salvage valuable items, I take 'em without blushing. Though I made the basic rule never to kill anyone for said item or loot any shops, for I needed them for fencing.

Though that was Fallout 3 conveyed oppressive nature, I wonder how Skyrim will play out. I will probably abide to whatever culture/region I find suiting myself the best and adapt, becoming a member and work there. If I love the land and the people, I don't touch 'em or their possessions at all since I hopefully will befriend them and friendship, trust and honesty is what I value the most. So other regions will be the victim of my opportunistic yet compassionate ways.

Morally questionable.

For the sake of the poll I'll vote neutral.

Really though working for the Dark Brotherhood has nothing to do with good and evil. It's just business.

Good and evil are subjective. My character will do what they want. It just so happens that my characters like helping people.

On my Nord assasin/thief I think Neutral Evil fits best. I wont go around on killing spree's and such, but I could kill for money, steal stuff etc without feeling regret.

On my Orc warrior/mage though, I think Chaotic Good will be the best option.

Chaotic Good for my main. My Khajiit Thief/Assassin is a mix, he has elements of Neutral Evil, True Neutral and Chaotic Neutral. He's probably closest to Chaotic Neutral overall.
