What will your first class be...

Post » Sat Jul 03, 2010 9:45 am

Breton Battlemage, most likely. Get to experience two sides of the combat at once.

TESV is going to cost me a lot of money. As soon as a release date is given, I am buying a top of the line PC so I can play it. Will probably wait for the specs to be released before finalizing the computer, but I'll start putting money away when it is announced.

After playing Oblivion on the PC (started on 360), I will never play another TES game on a console.

I'm just hoping that "classes" aren't "streamlined" in the next TES title. It might be: Warrior, Mage, Thief, just like in all of those old stereotypical RPGs where you got shoehorned into a specific set of skills and abilities. Until I see a handful of reviews about the game by players whose opinions I can respect, I'm not even going to commit to buying it, much less picking a character class.

If the game is interesting enough to justify purchasing it, then I'll probably attempt some weird hybrid class like a hunter or a diplomat.

It will most likely be a battlemage, or a warrior with summoning support, either in the form of summoned weapons or summoned minions.

I'd make a PURE warrior, just to see if I'm AGAIN forced some spells or not. If, I'd request a mod ASAP and let Beth know about it >:I

The storyline and events in the beginning of the game will decide what my first char turns out to be. She will be a breton, thats all I know.

Most likley a wood-elf. But I really hate being so short, so maybe something else than can be equally similar stat-wise. Definitley has to have lots of stealth and be able to hold out if my cover is blown.

Hm. A crusading knight, who uses lances and crossbows. Or a shaolin style monk, with a staff and throwing stars.

Depends entirely on the setting and story.

Aside from that, I would definitely like to continue as my main character that I played through Morrowind and Oblivion with, but if it's true this game takes place 200 years after Oblivion then it won't be an option.

My starter format is always a Redguard that love destroying things with this sword. Usually follow by an Argonian as a Jack of all Trader.

I want to play a Breton that relies on Blade, Illusion, Light Armour and Speechcraft. Something similiar to the Bard class with a style of play that I fell into during The Elder Scrolls IV.

Battlesorcerer. A magic user who specializes in Destruction and Illusions but also capable in sword fighting. Short swords, I hope.

In Oblivion, you automatically got a couple of basic spells in your inventory, whether you had any magical skills or not: a low level fire damage spell and a weak healing spell. Your character was always part Mage from the start.

In Morrowind, you got a low-level spell with every school of cast magic that you took as a Major. Other than racial bonuses and abilities, if you didn't take any magical skills, you started with no spells.

Kind of an inside joke. These weapons were available in Morrowind, and it was a horrendous, unforgivable mistake to remove them from Oblivion, which if anything, should have added more weapons.

Did I mention my Crusading Knight never leaves the saddle of his trusty warhorse? Which he fights from? As in on top of? GIVE ME HORSE COMBAT BETHESDA, OR GIVE ME DEATH.

I have the same Character in Morrowind and oblivion so it will be the same with TES V, Stealth,Magic (usually use quite a bit of magic), and Short Sword.

Most likely a Breton spellsword. But that could change, depending on how the skills change and the location of the game.
