What will be your perfect set-up in the game?

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 1:41 pm

I am aware that not much is known about all the weapons in the game, and that most people here have not actually played it, but what would be your optimal set-up? This includes what class you would play as, whether you'd be security or resistance, what body type you'd use, what weapons you would use, and I heard something about perks in the game, but I'm not too sure what those are, so include them if you like.
Mine would be a medium resistance soldier or engineer toting an AR with a drum mag and either a shotgun or a revolver with some sort of sight on it.

On a side note, I also know that there have been a lot of different threads discussing some of these aspects separately, but I couldn't find one that condensed them all into one thread. So, here it is, discuss!

Well, I do like to play support and assault roles, so I'd have to go with Medic / Soldier, then I also want an Assault Rifle or a Shotgun, so Medium is what I think I'm going for

I'm probably going to run around with the Operator, and sometimes an Engineer if we need one. I'll be Light, but I don't know much about the weapons so I can't really say what I want exactly but I'll be using SMGs a lot.

My first character will be a medium multi-class player.

I would like to try a Light Engineer with the Drognav (DSR-1) with reflex scope/extended mag and VBR Belgium (Machine Pistol) with the fastest equip speed possible.

I think my main character will end up being a Heavy Medic with the SRM-1216 (Heavy Shotgun) spec'ed to do as much damage as possible per blast and a Grenade Launcher or SG552 secondary.

My optimal class im hoping for would be:

Light Resistance Operative wielding a Bulpdaun SMG or a Tampa SMG both with a YeoTek Red Dot Sight attachment and my sidearm being a Hockler machine pistol.

Medium Engineer for Security.....assault rifles.

I tend to go for surprise flank attacks, so I'd probably be a light soldier with a tricked out, silenced pistol while I'm getting to the "alternative" entry point, and a quick-equip shottie for when I get there.

Alternatively, if SD manage to make a Heavy Operative work, I'll probably do that, because I love things with that WTF-ish-but-awesome quality.

Heavy Medic with either the Gotlung mini or the LMG from the video, with a semi-auto shotgun.

First char: Light - Medic and Tampa SMG with as much ammo as possible. Also trying to increase accuracy. Focus on hipfire. First singleplayer playthrough will be Resistance.

Heavy/Medic Autoshotty probably with a shotty backup. I would fulfill the role of "tank/terrifier" and you would not notice my business partner stabbing you in the back as you tried to shoot at me from cover.

In all fairness you can't steal the Jess/Wraith combo.

I'd be security, medic, light, using an SMG (The Security equivalent of the Gallatic or the Bulpdaun), on that I'd add a silencer or muzzle break, depending on how they each work and then I'd add the duct-tape mag, a grip and a red-dot sight - and BAM; you guys are gonna drop like flies! :P

There is no "Security equivalent." The guns are the same for both factions. Security guns look and sound well-maintained and Resistance guns look and sound dirty and used. These are the only differences.
