What will be your play-style?

Post » Sun Nov 07, 2010 9:49 pm

A pure magic high elf thats mostly fire and conjuration based...

I will tend to stay in the first town and around it for a good number of levels 10-12 maybe exploring a few dungeons nearby before heading off to a small town somewhere nice looking to get to 20 or so. by 25 or so I expect to have only gone to less then a third of the map and only explored maybe 10-15 dungeons.

At that point ill expand outward a fair bit and explore 40 or so dungeons and get to more of the cities and towns.

Even by level 50 O wont have explored the entire map but once I reach 50 I will do so.

I'll be a sneaky thief at first, then on a subsequent character I'll be a mage.

Well I have never played a 100 % "ranger" type of character, light armor, longbow and sword. I think I want to play as one as my first character. I will travel through the wilderness, killing bandits and monsters
and just enjoy everything in Skyrim.

Nord, as usual, combat only. Stealth and magic when needed. But they will not be the ones I will use my perks on.

I always play as melee with medium/heavy armor, sword, shield...in Morrowind: Redguard, in Oblivion: Imperial. In Skyrim I will most likely choose my character as a Nord. Usually the only magic I use is to replenish health and sometimes shields.

A Bosmer or Khajiit sneaky archer, probably with magic on the side as it’s always useful.

A Bosmer stealth character who uses little or no armor and a dagger. Maybe some magic for some aid, and alchemy.

I can't choose between a dual wielding imperial with maybe some use of a bow or a Breton spell sword. If I can't block as a spell sword then I won't most likely be one.

Dunmer is my first pic in character

I usually focus on blade, stealth, magicka

I like getting a bonus hit with my bow(using some kind of poison usually) from afar and use magic when they start running after me to tenderize them a bit before taking out the sword to finish them off

In the past I've always played a stealthy character, but I'm thinking of switching to a "Spellsword", if I like the magic mechanics. I say that because in some games magic feels like a gimmick rather than a viable combat option.

It really depends on which play style turns out to be the most fun for me. In Oblivion, I played as a magic/combat hybrid. I will likely try out the same play style at first, and tweak it accordingly once I get a feel for the changes in Skyrim. I will also definitely have a stealth character on the side.

Breton Spellsword: uses light armor, destruction (spell and sword, duh) and alteration, with a touch of dual wielding swords, illusion, smithing and enchanting.

Gee,haven't you ever heard of Mushroomhead!? :)

I'll probly go stealth (as I always do),with a bit of melee combat attached to it. (Blade&block) :toughninja:

EDIT: I always somehow end up with 100 Strength,Agility and Endurance...

No ones heard of them it seems. Slipknot is almost a household name, even my mom knows who Slipknot is but I know some hard core head bangers who have no idea who Mushroomhead is, which IMO, is the band that Slipknot ripped off.

Oh and just so this isn't a off topic post I was planning on playing a paladin like character but that has been killed with being force to equip either a shield or magic not both. So I am going to go with a berserker type guy, maybe Nord.

I play a bit of a battlemage, I guess. I like playing a warrior (use sword and shield), archer (poison/damage arrows) and mage (with healing and only a couple of damage and shield spells). It really depends on the situation.
If it's a big guy, I try to stay back and use shield spells. Then I would use poison or damaging arrows. As the enemy gets close I start using damage spells (fire or shock). Finally, if the enemy gets too close, I would use sword and shield (or a mace/blunt weapon).

I'm one of those that would buy the most damaging weapons and only basic spells and some potions when in town and then go charging through the wilderness, lol! (I'm bad at trapmaking and stealth, hehe.)

Light armor(leather, fur), with one handed axe and dagger. Nord. Possibly bow too.
Khajiit I always make master stealth with unarmed.

I don't like to use magic unless I'm going in pure or stealthy assasin with magic.

2 swords and a bow, D&D ranger archetype. Also some magic, like detect life and those runes sound pretty sick for traps

I will play as a good guy. Not your typical brave knight in shiny armor good guy, but a badass, don't [censored] with me, nightblade kind of good guy. Stealthy, knows his way with both a bow and a pair of shortswords, and uses magic mainly for supportive purposes. Does not rely on others for help so is adept at smithing, alchemy and enchanting. Will probably go with a Dunmer, Argonian, or Redguard, depending on what they will look like in the game.

I'll be going in as a melee-focused Nord, possibly with some destruction skill, and cut, and/or clobber, everyone down with whatever two-handed weapons I can find.

I think my first Character will be as always a Nord mage. This fits more with Skyrim than it did Morrowind or Oblivion. But one cool backstory that fits this game sooooo much better.
