Macintosh is a series of computers.
both, when used for personal uses are classes as Personal Computers, or PCs.
And for an encore, a laptop is a PPC an acronym for Portable Personal Computer.

Now true, MacOS is lightweight, and designed for media. But it has compatibility issues with about 75% of games made, and typically restricts graphical power in games for the fossil fuel burning, planet destroying Windows PC which does what you want, how you want it, 90% of the time.
