What up with those stats bro?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:32 pm

I have been downloading a lot of mods recently, a few I have had for awhile and never had any problems with it what so ever. Recently though, I have had an issue that is bugging the hell out of me. It kind of ruins the fun of the game. When ever my character becomes a vampire, my stats seem to sky rocket for no reason at all. My strength, willpower, agility, endurance, and personality all jumped into the 3000s! Once they even went into the 10000s. I thought it was a vampire mod I had once, so I got rid of it and it hadn't happened since, but now it happened again and I can't find out why. Even curing vampirism doesn't fix it. I have no idea why it is doing this, and I don't see what mod would cause this to happen. If anyone else has this happen to them or has a solution, please tell me. It really ruins the game if I am only level 1 and have nearly 6000 health.

This is decidedly an issue that belongs in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/forum/25-mods/. Whenever you are dealing w/ mods, you should post your load order. If using few enough mods that lo is not an issue, simply post the ones you have active. You can try using http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11368. Even if it fixes your attributes, it likely won't fix the cause of the problem. So more info is needed.

Thank you for moving my topic, I am new here and didn't know where I should post this, I thought it might have been under software issues. The mods that I currently have that affect stats or vampire at all are:

Vampire Aging Disabled 2
Cliff_Roleplayingcharacter
RealHunger (RH 1.6 Beta 2 Classic)
RealSleep
VampireNoAge (must have forgotten to take that one off)

Everything else does not involve scripting with vampires or stats for that matter.

We still need a load order, unless someone recognizes an obvious culprit among the mods you mentioned.

With OBMM: Import/Export > View load order > Copy/Paste
With Wrye Bash: Right-click File-header in the Mods tab > List mods > Paste

This is a know bug for Real Sleep. To fix it, upgrade to Real Sleep Extended (shameless self-promotion). With Real Sleep Extended you get intelligent handling of Vampirism, where you can choose in its ini whether you don't need sleep as a vampire, or whether you do - in which case the best sleep is during the day (and least effective during the night).

So my suggestion is:
1. Uninstall Real Sleep
2. Install Real Sleep Extended and the Unofficial Oblivion Patch.
3. Use the UOP's stat fixer to cure your stats
4. Continue the game.
