What's up with ... no women? : V

So I held my tongue until this morning, hoping Bethesda would redeem itself with the pictures it released today. But so far, 30+ images and the only women are a two old women in town scenes and the blonde, um, barmaid.

I know the Devs read this forum, and I'm wondering: what is up? Every single Player Character shown is some ugly hulking guy. Are you not expecting us to buy the game? Play the game?

Killmoms had pointed out that there two women in the trailer and, of course, there is that blonde barmaid.

Of course more women will be shown with time. They haven't really shown much of anything yet.

I'll bet there will be plenty of women in whatever they're doing at E3.

Pff! Women can't survive in the barren ice! Skyrim is the mans frontier.

In all seriousness I don't see it as a big deal. I enjoy games where there is a woman main character or if there are more women than men and I still see the game for what it is. I'm sure there will be plenty of women, they aren't ignoring you. But either way, gender doesn't have an effect on the game... so... :shrug:

Well in the in-game trailer video we've seen at least three female npcs in the tavern scene (where the assassin PC slit the throat of its hapless victim).

edit: Also I was under impression that the mage PC that initiated the fire blast spell (surrounded by the Draugrs) on that trailer was actually a female.

edit#2: And the one stalking the deer in the fall forest, too!

The bar maid should be a testament to the fact that female character's look significantly better than in the previous series. Nevertheless, we're months from the release of skyrim and you're bound to see a picture of a woman pop up sooner or later. Other than that, I fail to see how Bethesda holding back on images will make or break your purchase of the game.

That's what I was wondering, has it been confirmed that the game has gender choice at all? I'm erally hoping it won't do a Two Worlds and be male only, that's just plain boring and bland. I want to make a female warrior or mage who can take dragons down.
If there isn't any gender choice than it's highly likely I won't be bothering with the game.

I'm not sure what your trying to get at. There have been plenty of women in screens. Also, one thing that Bethesda with all their games is they show off their themed character. In Oblivion it was an Imperial, in Skyrim it's a nord. They aren't belittling women or leaving them out, they are just showing their themed character.

You are absolutely right. Asking for a single female player picture in the number that were released is way out of line.

I highly doubt they "forgot" about us, as its pretty much a given we can play as either gender. As for the lack of screens they havent given much for any race, but there is one screen of a female in armor floating around.

It has been confirmed that you get to picked your character's six and race at the character creation... Just read those recent articles, duh.

I think she meant the player character and not NPC's. All the player characters have been male Nords.

Keep in mind, what we have seen of the game has been very limited. The screenshots we see of the game come from actual gameplay, which means someone at Bethesda would be playing the game in order to capture any particular moment. If the people playing the game don't play as a female character, we won't see it.

Female characters won't be excluded from the game, just like Argonians and Dark Elves won't be.
