What Do Women Want?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:18 pm

Hey everyone!

Basically a spin-off of the thread by Chineapplepunk, what do women want in a partner/significant other? I'm sure different women have different preferences, let's hear yours!

They want to make sammiches :hehe:

Ok seriously I doubt you're gonna get a whole lot of real answers considering there really just aren't a lot of women on BGSF. Yes we do have some but you're likely going to be hearing a lot from guys who know absolutely nothing about what women want.

I'm gonna be the first one to say it:

Women want me.

The love of an amazing man who wants to give her everything she asks for, and who will never betray her trust.

And a bra that's actually COMFORTABLE.

A guy who is confident (not overly cocky), nice and who has a personality that clicks with them (I find girls don't really see the third part like guys do though, I could be wrong).

I love the internet. It makes me feel like the only guy who's ever so much as talked to a girl, much less connected with her.

Which is the first step. If you have a hearty sense of humor, it's difficult for a gal to dislike you.

And I'm hilarious.

I only know what I want. I don't know what other women want.

Already posted in the other thread, but I'll just reiterate:
- emotionally mature
- responsible
- morals (insert religion and other values here blah blah blah)

That's just the condensed unrefined blurb about it. It guess it boils down to mutual trust and respect (And luuuuuuurve).

Oh, and I refuse to ever be a biological parent. Maybe I'd adopt, but I don't really see it happening.

I think I'll stick with owning corgi(s).

This is what I thought women wanted as well, but that comes after you have good looks and money. I am emotionally mature, reposnible and have good morals. Thing is because I don't have the money or the "Looks" most women have passed me by for so many years. Maybe that is a good thing because I found the love of my life now. :D.

Still I want to see what women will say to this.

Now how come, this is a thread for women, only one has replied to it, and mostly men are are taking part? Maybe us men need to be quiet here or other wise we are going to reach the 200 mark with only 2 or 3 female comments.

While there does have to be a certain level of physical attraction, it's not based as much on that as you would think. There has to be that initial attraction that women seem to crave, that's from being confident, funny, and depending on the girl a certain level of looks. If it was all based on looks and money how do you explain the poor [censored] who's going out with a total bombshell, or the at best average guy going out with a hottie? I was passed up a lot until last year when I decided to do my hair, buy some new glasses, stand up straight and just act normally, now I'm doing fine. I've also learned how to avoid the dreaded friend zone also lol.

You changed who you are to get girls??

I'm not Dr. Phil (I'm way more qualified), but that sounds like a bad life-choice. But in the end, it's all about being happy, so as long as you're happy, dude... Keep on it.

Congrats on the evasive skill. That's one way of conquering it.

I don't think getting a haircut and glasses counts as "changing who you are" otherwise I go through an identity crisis every six months. That hippy BS about changing who you are assumes there's some sort of predefined template for each person that must not be deviated from. People change over time.

This sounds like a thread just asking for a bunch of sixist remarks. If we're acknowledging that every woman wants different things, I don't see why we're gearing it specifically toward women.

Because we already had a "what men want" thread.

Which is just as bad. Why not a "What you want" thread?

Well, yes, in hindsight that would have been better, but now we're sort of stuck with this system. We're not asking a rhetorical question about all of womankind, we're asking what the specific members of this forum want.
