what wont you miss about previous games

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 4:54 am

what from other TES games will you not miss or hope are not in skyrim, for me it has to be oblivion gates because i just hated those things, the quest in which you have to close a gate outside each city used to anger me lol

also feel free to share anything you would like to see on skyrim which was also on older TES games. for me its houses, after playing new vegas and fallout 3 i was dissapointed that in both games the housing situation was no where near as good as on oblivion. i hope that there is alot of choice again in where you can choose to live.

I will not Miss...Oblivion.

Now, now, Oblivion wasn't that horrible. It simply lacked a deep background the rest had.

Best combat, I found it to have.

The whole Attribute/Skills/leveling system is my usual response but overall I'd have to say the ugly character graphics. PC's and NPC's in Skyrim look a HELL of a lot better so far.

Morrowind's horrid graphics and combat

Oblivions leveling system

The lifelessness of NPCs

Way too many repeated voices (hopefully)

Not having dragons

Oblivion's Level-scaling.

Ridiculously high jumping and ridiculously fast running late-game.

horrible detection system, instant crime reporting, ugly character models, bad voice acting, cliff racers, OB style fast travel, OB style dungeons, silly portrayal of Bosmer, OB style of overly saturated green orc skin, shooting an unwanted arrow at the ground in order to put it back, level scaling OB style, etc.

Morrowind: broken combat & low-res characters (especially face), cliff racer (let's be honest, I'll miss them, but not in these proportions god-dammit), level system abuses.
Oblivion : nauseating fairy tale ambience & ugly characters (especially face), level system abuse, horrible level scaling, boring main quest (well I may be wrong, but skyrim's one already seems better).

Although it did have a bonus, I agree. In concept fairly good. In actuality, it lent little to the game

The only major gripe I had about OB was the 'zoom' in when I spoke to an NPC. It wasn't really a problem, but it gave me the impression that I had to get nose to nose with somebody to ask them a question and it seemed so odd

"I saw a mudcrab the other day," says a potato-faced NPC to another NPC with exactly the same voice.
