Mehrunes Dagon attacked Modern day earth?(oblivion crisis, anyone?)

Each nation with military power would defend themselves (and their allies if they remain loyal or are spared from the attack) to the best of their ability. I'd imagine that we would send in fighter/bombers, local law-enforcement, infantry, tanks, APC's, and battleships to handle the initial conflict. If that fails and the situation becomes desperate, we may initiate a nuclear strike. If that fails, they win. We go underground. Humanity enters one of its darkest chapters thusfar in history.

Dagon finds easily manipulable pawns among evangelicals. He has them cause the united states to nuke itself.

Sorry, compulsory action, with that out of the way, i'd say that Earth would be doomed, the daedra would sort of have the upper-hand (enemies that come back after they die, magic, weapons that could slice a tank, etc.)

There's a problem though. That's assuming we are using THEIR physics. Instead, if they invaded us, they would be subjected to OUR physics. I'd say they'd probably surprise a few battles, but in the end they'd get crushed under the treads of our mighty boots.

He'd spend all day being staggered (or melting) due to 50 cal shots to his face.

Seeing as an ex-con can close Great Oblivion Gates without much hassle (and the Bruma Guard are reported to be able to close gates without your help) I think modern soldiers could handle it. Imagine special forces against Dremora.

Every daedra would fall over due to our immense gravity from what I've seen of Tamriel's.

Also we have guns. They wouldn't stand a chance.

Well seeing as one guy with nothing but swords, armor, bows and magic can single handedly end the oblivion crisis, Dagon wouldnt stand a chance against guns/nukes/tanks/kindly old ladies.
