What would it be like to own a Power Armor?

I don`t think the ownership/operation of power armor... is properly described in FO4.

Power armor practically makes you invincible against most melee weapon & bullets..

So wearing Power Armor itself in stranger should be treated as hostile action in my opinion.

(Everyone should flee before confronting anyone in power armor)

For example, Diamond City should never let anyone who is wearing power armor into their city..

because the risk is simply too high to let something so powerful run around.

Also for various vendors...

can you believe these vendors are trying to barter with someone in Power Armor.. who can potentially crush their skull with bare hand and take everything they have?

Not criticizing the game as all games are limited to its own rules and system within the game.

but.. I am wondering what would it be like in more realistic perspective to own a power armor in common wealth.

I think it makes sense for only raider leaders to operate power armor since wearing power armor can tip their power hierarchy instantly.

What would it be like to own a power armor in commonwealth, if you live there? :liplick:

For me, traveling through common wealth without its protection would be unthinkable.

The one thing that I always think is a bit disrespectful, is if you talk to an NPC with your PA helmet on, especially important ones. I for one, would like to see your face and especially eyes, when I discuss your current mission with you. LOL My new character picked up her power armor on the Prydwen and had part of a next quest was to talk to Maxson. So, of course, I unequipped my PA helmet, so I could look Maxson straight in the eyes. :)

So, as a city, I would definitely put a restriction on PA, that if you want to enter, you have to take off your helmet, so we can see who is under all that metal. And if we know you and you are respected here, you can come in, wearing your PA.

I usually travel around the CW in either leather or combat armor. PA is way too bulky and sneaking in it, is just silly. lol

Yeah, figuring out who is under that damn armor could be indeed the most important thing in real common wealth.

I never thought about power core.. lol.

It probably is the first place where the user needs to make modification to reinforce.

I assume power amors in common wealth is fairly rare.. They are only to be operated by certain gang/mercenary leaders.

It makes me rethink how much fire-power brotherhood possesses.

It`s really hard to convince others that they are here to help when they are all equipped with armor that leave others no choice but to listen to them.

I agree lol.

Both in real life and in commonwealth. It would be very awesome.

Come to think... we probably cannot use many guns with power armor though. The finger must be at least 1 inch thick..
