I think online play would ruin the aspect of the game, We already have a billion other online games. Fallout is just not meant to be one. Also, think about V.A.T.S, That would be dumb because if you were fighting someone. every other players screen would have to slow down based on timing. just think about it.

Actually, you do make a good point. Fallout probably wouldn't make that bad of an MMO since you're already working with factions and in groups in many cases. ESO, honestly, isn't that bad, but, by it's very nature, it is more difficult for me to use the group dynamic in any group larger than 1/2 a dozen and there are so many incidences when you need more. Plus Zeni has been awful at the intercommunication thing on console (voice only!).

Who knows. Maybe someday. It might be fun to run a squad of BoS's or do some things in small groups as one of the factions.

ESO was my first MMO that I actually cared about, but, now that I've played a few others, there are some definite joys to them.

Even Jet makes it impossible.

Hardly impossible, just requires some modification during online play. Vats could be used in real-time. Jet could increase overall speed in everything.

Still don't know what you mean by "online play". Too vague for my shallow little mind.

Can you elaborate? If you don't mean MMO, what do you mean?

Seems to me that there are a lot of people that don't know what game mods are.

Game Mods > Multiplayer

Multiplayer often ruins any chance of using significant mods ><

You think Bethesda is going to change the game just because a random forum user? You must think very highly of yourself the world doesn't revolve around you... also your whole argument fails under the fact that no one is forcing you to play the game and you can just stick to the older Fallouts instead of telling Bethesda to change their design direction that is works perfect for fallout as evidenced by the millions of people who like it... yes thats right your in the minority... so get off your high horse ok?

As in, not having 1000 players on the map at once. You and maybe 3 other players invade another players world, trying to break past his defenses, while he fends you off. Or you and 3 other people defend your settlement against waves of NPC's. Or you and 7 other players fight in a free-for-all city someone built. Or you and another player complete a quest together.

Why are you here... forums are for opinions. If Bethseda even remotely uses my suggestion, I've done what I've wanted to do here, which is what the official forums are kind of for.

I'm confused. Are we talking Coop here, or some kind of Counterstrike, which is not Coop.

Oh! I get it. Limited scope. Kind of like when I play some of my LAN groups. It's not public, but it's a lot like Co-op, only you each have your own screens.

It could certainly work, but I'm not sure if Beth would really want to go that direction. While ESO is a great game, Beth really isn't involved in it. My personal favorite is 3 player LAN for Lord of the Rings: War in the North. I know it's old, but I still love it.

Makes sense to me now.

Sure. Why not. I would love to play it with some friends, but I am happy as a single player too.

Can't hurt to think about it though, can it. :)

Bethesda Game Studios make single player games, there won't be any multiplayer/co-op in FO4, it's too late for that. Whether there will ever be a Fallout Multiplayer of some type is not known, so If you want to discuss the possibility of MMO/Co-op please do so in http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1581454-fallout-multiplayer-discussion-thread/.
