What would the Children Of Tamriel use as toys?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:11 am

I don't see enchanted toys being even remotely common, considering enchanting still requires trapped souls.

I would imagine wood toys, perhaps cloth dolls with wire frames, puppets, crude board games, instruments and things of the such.

But most Tamriel kids are probably commoners, which means they more then likely work in the fields, or on the streets.

and when they do play games, their probably using basic sticks and the like as mere props while imagining that its something cooler.

i think that totaly depends on what kind of famaly but these are the things i think the children of cyrodiil have
i think children of a mage will have toys like magic animated dolls wich they can play and lots of books
yet childrens of fighters will have wooden swords and stuff
children of poor people have not much maby some a stiched plushie but mostly they play of what they can find like twigs and rocks and there imagination
children of nobels : girls expensive dolls and little silver ware to play the boys a ball or wooden swords

also i think it depends on the race
like a argonian hatchling i think can enjoy him/her self with just a pool or lake nearby
a orc child i think get to borrow his fathers battle axe and learn the hard way of living
altmer children i think do lots of studing and tea partys
and kajiit cub a bolt of yarn

but then again these are just sterio type examples but i think these are the kind of toys and things cyrodiil children play with :)

Hmmm... Maybe they will have toy horsies, glass-balls (Don't know what it's called in English). And then some teddy bears.

Perhaps the kids are into video games, and crave TES V as much as we do.

Dwemer puzzleboxes. They tend to get frustrated with them though and hide them in caves.

Skooma oh oh yeah....skooma i need skooma yeah! Do you have any skooma? :D
The reason why ain't any children in the game is:
Fireballs - they like to play with fire
Weapons are easy to find so children played with weapons :D
Orcs eat children....
A group of children decided that they can kill a bandit and sadly they got owned
They got killed by the non-emotional guards because the children *RESIST*
The AI killed them there was this glitch that made all NPC's go berserk so did the children Bethsda wasn't able to stop them noooo... :(
Children have no access to consoles Ha!

The children of Tamriel didn't play with toys. Most of them were sent off at an early age to join the Imperial legion's military school while others were sent to join a Mages school. The rebellious kids usually ran away before that happened and joined a group like the Commana Tong or Thieves Guild. Some kids even joined the Dark Brotherhood! Geesh, what has the world of Tamriel come too!?

I remember that Barenziah had a stuffed wolf named Wolfie, or something along those lines. It would appear (seeing as she is nobility) that even rich children in Tamriel have any toys at all to speak of.

Because, you know, Barenziah's parents would have totally gotten a Vivec, Almalexia, and Sotha Sil, deluxe action figure set if it were available.

Also, I can just see emo children of Tamriel clutching little Dagoth Ur and Mehrunes Dagon dolls!

"Hey Lorek, I see your sulking in the corner again. Did your mom waste her salary on beer again?"
*Snikers*
"Leave me alone Mandar, or Mehrunes Dagon will destroy you!"

(You know this is how Mankar Camoran got so messed up).

I don't know if this helps, but I just can't help but imagine the Jedi Knights in training 'cept instead of high tech stuff, it's just idyllic armour, weapons, and some magical tutors telling the kids to hit the ball that he is making float in front of him. And then, when the kids go home and they are bored, they fiddle with spells the "accidentally" their parents mutter. then the next day they teach their friends and soon everyone is shooting fireballs that some kids mother just used the other night to cook a nix-hound. Soon enough locals get tired of their livestock being charcoaled on their lawns and the guards come and take the kids..... I think i went out a little too far, but, hey? Why the hell not?

p.s. they could also have pets like a pet guar, or a pet clanfear, or a pet slaughterfish(that last one might not turn out too well....)
