What would the Fallout Nuclear Apocalypse be like where you

Post » Sat Feb 27, 2016 12:02 am

I would be living in the North Commonwealth wasteland so in 2287 it’s probably a windswept barren wasteland full of frequent radiation storms and mutated beet farmers.

If I was around for a Nuclear War I'd head right to the city centre to ensure I'd be kilLed by a direct strike. Who wants a slow death from radiation, disease or being murdered?

I live in the middle of BFE, so I think I would be safe. That is till everything goes all Point Lookout & all the, let's call them " rugged " people become murderous inbred tribals.

Considering I'm in the Baltimore-DC corridor it'd be a blasted wasteland. If I were around I'd be a ghoul.

I live in Italy so I'd probably be killed by the ensuing chaos or nuclear fallout.

I live near Redlands, CA just before the San Gorgonio mountains. It'd be like the foothills in NV before heading up into the mountains, I guess.

Florida would be almost entirely devoid of human beings. Whatever part of the area not annihilated by warhead detonations or inundated by tidal waves from nuclear strikes at sea would be irradiated enough that humans could not survive. There would probably be a few pockets of survivors here and there scrambling for food and water and all the while at the mercy of the wind direction- and with no good prospects for long-term survival. Within a few weeks, the temperature would begin to plummet as the cloud cover becomes more or less total from the dust and ash propagated into the upper atmosphere. Plant life would slowly die off and the result would be a... "brave new world".

Just about every scenario- conventional war between major powers, EMP strikes, nationwide breakdown of social order- has a high likelihood of NBC weaponry eventually being used, so global social stability is a good thing for everyone.

I'd end up looking like those skeletons you see sitting in lawn chairs with a bunch of empty beer bottles scattered around and a rifle nearby. The lucky ones will die in the initial attack. I'm about 50 miles north west of Boston nothing of strategic importance around here so would probably survive the initial attack. We are lightly armed so that may help a bit. But in the end we all die.

I live in the Commonwealth... The REAL commonwealth! (joking)

I'd probably be burnt to a crisp, no Vault Tech in London, so no survival for me!

I was a B-52 Aircraft Commander at the tail end of the Cold War (late 80s early 90s).

I've seen the charts for what a full-scale nuclear conflict with the arsenals at that time would have looked like. There wouldn't be much left of the lower 48 states. Pretty much nothing lives east of the Mississippi and very little west of it.

My alert missions would have had us putting the third or fourth weapon on any given target. We'd have been "bouncing the rubble" at that point. That's not even counting all the tactical nukes that would going off in Europe and at sea.

I'd say the world of Fallout is a very very optimistic vision of a post nuclear world.

I live in the southern part of the United States so I would assume it would look like Point Lookout, some of my wife's relatives already look like irradiated hillbillies already.

I live in San Diego. I'd be screwed, but I'd head up to Mission Hills, safer than being in the city.

I live in a capitol city. .. Pretty sure that any capitol city or any major city would be a target. My area would probably just be a hole in the ground afterwards.

i would head directly for the nearest sewer system. so for me, it wouldn't really matter where i am. it would still be a sh!tty experience!

i look forward to the opportunity to put my skills to the test and try to survive the apocalypse. with 3 sons and a wife, it's like a harder difficulty!

and with the right gear you don't have to worry about rad poisoning. we're equipped with hazmat suits, full gas masks and real-life rad x.

I'm not too concerned with bein murdered though, i grew up in philly!

It would basically be Fallout 3 for me, because I live in Northern Virginia, don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Since I live about 35 miles from London, I'll have full body 3rd degree burns to look forward to.

Makes me think about moving further north... :/

Well i live in Norway, and no one cares about Norway! I would probably be dead as i live quite close to one of the largest cities in the country which most definately would be hit by an Atom Bomb.

Live near the Canadian Rockies so have to deal with the possibility of Mutated Wolverine and Mutated Bear attacks. Deathclaws would be docile compared to Mutated Wolverines.
