I would be very sceptic, order the collectors edition and wait a few weeks for patches to roll out, because I assume they rolled a broken mess out to fast.

Get excited and, depending on what I learned during E3, probably buy it.

I will likely be happy and buy it. One thing I am sure of is that the game will have bugs if it is released early or 10 years later, at least I can be playing it much earlier.

I'd buy it. And a console to play it on.

It won't be out after E3, though. That would be silly.

With its colonial America, Independence Day theme, it will obviously be out on July 4th.

Obviously. :D

I have a hard time paying a game at full price without knowing what I'm getting into. So I'll wait a few weeks to see the general reaction of the game.

If I am shown that I can create a Red Headed Female Protagonist during E3, I buy the Game.

I curse Bethesda when I run into a consistent Glitch. I report the Glitch as Patch 1.0 is being downloaded off of Steam, just like Skyrim :bonk:

The game has been in development for 4 years. That's longer than Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas put together. It's also a year longer than Skyrim took. How is that releasing the game too fast?

Seriously - is it my imagination or did one of the Beth bigwigs make a statement last year that their next game would have a shorter announcement-to-release time?

Not sure but I reckon that's gonna be the case. They've definitely said that some of their past announcement-to-release times were too long with the info too drawn out. Their announcement to release times have been getting shorter over their last few games. There are also leaks about it being released in October. I personally believe it'll be released before Christmas time this year.

I'd buy the collector's edition and wait for it...That way, I'd get what I want and be able to avoid the initial bug-fest.

Wait while they patch the hell out of what would probably be a glitchy, buggy, mess.

I am going to buy it and I'd it was released day after e3 I would buy it then. I am pretty confident I will enjoy this game as I have Bethesda Softworks past several efforts.

If it was announced that the release date was to be just after E3, I would scratch my head and think to myself, "Hunh? What kind of an advertising campaign was that?" Then I would quite happily go out and purchase a copy.

I'd have to go to an actual store to buy the game. Curse you Bethesda!

I would probably wait a few months. Reason being is that I am saving up for a gaming PC so I'd need to get paid a few more times to invest in something really great. Plan on getting it for the PC or maybe just a console.

I'd get it immediately probably. I just don't pre-order because of principles.

What's wrong with pre ordering?

I would buy it. Spend all my free time playing it and then coming here on the forums to debate Fallout lore.

It was necessary before when you had to make sure you got a copy, stores didn't buy enough copies and there was no onlline retailers, but today it's near impossible NOT to be able to get your game day one if you want to.

Nowadays developers just use pre-orders to ensure sales even if the game is bad, they also use it to give you special day-one DLC(as a way to make you buy the game for example), and I am very much against that as well. Not saying that Bethesda does stuff like that, but I'm no hypocrite, I treat all developers equally.

There are some articles here and there explaining in detail why pre ordering games is a bad thing to do in the long run, you should read some.

I prefer hard copies of my game. I'm old fashioned that way. Nothing quite like the new game smell lol

Since the game already have a reasonable leaked release date of October, which means if it dropped now it wasn't because the devs wanted to, but some top guy in a suit, and since 9/10 devs like to refine a games coding until the second it goes gold, a few months of earlier launch would spell a high risk of nasty bugs

Skyrim and all the launch bugs are a good example of dropping something too early, as they clearly wanted to capitalize on the cheesy launch date of 11.11.11
