What would you like to have in the Collector's edition?

That is actually a very interesting idea! Finally something different then all those pesky paper maps

OMG, I love that idea! I agree!! :D

Most of all, "The art of Skyrim". Seriously, there must be a ton of gorgeous concept art for this game. That would be one amazing book. In fact, I'd give up anything else on that list just for it.

yeah i would like box art and a massive art book, i mean they have to have a novel full on concept art for this and i'd love to see how it evolved from basic concept art to complex stuff

That Cloth Map would kick all levels of ass.

I'd like an artbook, some exclusive box, AN ACTUAL CD soundtrack, an ACTUAL DVD would be cool. Something to wear, T-shirt or necklace or bracelet or hat or something. Doesn't matter what, just something to wear. Some kind of leatherbound guide or something would be pretty sweet, like the arkham asylum game, but thicker and it looks like actual animal hide.

Most of all, I want my collectors edition to full of things I can HOLD and display. Not a sheet of download codes like God Of War. I was almost insulted with that collectors edition. Although, if on top of ALL OF THIS. Like, a box full of so many things it almost cant close, you want to toss in a special weapon download or something, not gamebbreakingly awesome, like the canteen in New Vegas. But something that can help out early in the game, like a dagger or piece of armour that helps you carry slightly more or run slightly faster or something that hurts slightly more then a usual dagger. I wont be against it, and the item has to be the same across all platofrms.

And no different collectors editions for Amazon/Gamestop/Wal-mart. Cut that [censored] out.

Edit:

We should gather the most popular items and then start a petition for what we want the collectors edition to be, or at least the basic idea of it. So gamesas takes notice, as I'm sure no one will read this topic that has any decision making power.

Yeah, definitely. Doing that is BS, and it's not fair to the fan-base to make them buy several copies of the same thing just to get all of the collectors items. I can understand it from a business and marketing perspective, but most fans, even the most die-hard fans, will not put up with that, because no one can afford it. :banghead:

Edit: Seriously, we should start a petition. I mean, this would be a much better petition than "Will you please put guns in the game," or "I wanna ride my dragon to the store."

Yeah, too bad no petitions are allowed on the forums, IIRC. But if BioWare could do it for Mass Effect, I'm sure Beth will! That's 5 years of art - if any game deserves an art book, it's Skyrim.

Some sort of guidebook that had lore, better examples about how to do things, more depth. Not a pamphlet, but a game manual  OF course, I think this should be standard issue and not just for a CE.

Something like this:

*Behind the scenes
*Skyrim music
*Art book
*Lore book with ALL the lore from all the elder scroll games combined into one book
*A map (only if its a hard paper map (same material as tabletop games))
*All other elder scroll games on a dvd or a usb or something

What i dont want:
*DLC never ever include DLC in a collectors edition that only they can get not even cosmetic
*A statuette or a figure or something
*No posters as they take up way to much space
*No shirts or stuff as there is no way to know how large one should be (i would rather have something small like a deck of cards, coins, necklace, ring, keychain and so on)

I personally would love to have a high-quality map of Skyrim come with the collector's edition, and a nice looking XBox premium theme of the different climates and sceneries in Skyrim.
