What would you like to see from Brink?

I found the link to that female concept art once, couldn't find it again....it might've been IGN, but then again, I might be lying.

It was on this site and many others. I remember it too. Red hair, with a holstered pistol. Or I could be lying too. Who knows?

I disagree.
Battlefield might work with destruction, but it also has vehicles which shouldn't get stuck on a wooden fence.

But if developers set up a map they have something in mind about it. There are set routes which are supposed to balance the chances for offense and defense and control the flow of all players.

If you could just bomb your way straight through the map, it would totally defeat the purpose of setting up the map.

i know that brink is all about teamwork but i went with other because i would like to see some ctf in this just think of how cool that would be taking advantage of SMART running away with the flag but still using teamwork to get the job done know what im sayin

i would like to see ctf i know that brink is all about team work but i think it would be an awsome way to take advantage of the SMART system and it could still work with team work protecting the flag and protecting the carrier of the flag.

I think if there's a CTF mode (there will be something like CTF for sure) you should be unable to use SMART while holding the item.

Large maps i would like to see, but needs to be something like multiple 3-4 level buildings with all kinds of access to different places, rooms that overlook the court yard, ladders, stairs, empty elevator shafts you can jump wall to wall to get up, vents near the floors in rooms where you can just slide under and through to enter if they have other ways well guarded. This would be the way to go as oppose too wide spread emptiness.

Now destruction is good, but svcks when everything has been demolished.

Now the map editor is a good idea, but they need to be able to be cycled through the server as official maps or have the map editor not let you submit unless its perfect. Be downloadable when your in menu, like starcraft 2, not have to go to some website to find them then find folder crap. Otherwise people will be building maps all day and nobody playing them.

No Vehicle in this game should have weapons. Maybe a bugge that carries 3 and the 2 not driving have to shoot from their seats. Take a helicopter, 3 seats, 2 able to shoot out sides, couple that with the 3-4 level buildings now you got another way to an objective. Also be able to leap from the helicopter also, 1 leap into second floor, 1 leap into third floor and pilot lands ontop of building and goes in from there. Useful not just there.

well vehicles would be usless with all the jumping and climbing being done why use a vehicle to me it would mess up the gameplay plus i dont think the levels are open enough for vehicles

From what I understand, vehicles cannot play a large role in this game because of the serious lack of resources on the Ark. No petrol = no vehicles.

(I've only read the 1st few pages, so if this has been mentioned then just disregard)

the only item you should capture in a CTF Brink is an old pistol and some leaflets!

I think were they to implement large scale battles / maps it would be like a scenario type setup, thats what i'd like to see
to expand...
the war takes place over the entire ark, but your battle is fought over a tiny part (current map), and if you won you'd advance to the next area / territory (next map / neighbouring map) and if you lost you'd "retreat'" and fight in the previous area, sort of like a territorial war that encompasses the entire series of maps over the structure that is the ark,

there would always be a battle in the different territories (maps) that would influence the control of your chosen faction over the entire ark, and after every game you get like a personal update on the Faction control
that way you feel like your efforts playing the game have a larger effect on the battle in the ark as a whole
but to avoid playing the same 2 maps over say 4-5 games, you get the chance to choose which territory you wish to fight in, whether you choose to reinforce your faction in a different territory or continue your fight in the assigned territory due to previous victory / loss

i would also like to see environmental dmg, not as entire structure demolishon, but i think if you fired a bullet into the wall you get a bullet hole or chip, and say you fired a rocket into a container, see a big dint as a result, i think doing that but keeping the actual structure intact won't mess with the SMART system, becoz it's more asthetic change rather then structural

I'd like to see a few special features for SMART, like races and a Mirror's Edge style platformer element. Possibly as a mod or DLC.

I think destruction and vehicles would just ruin the feel of the game.


I agree now that I think about it that destruction would ruin it because the main element of the game it parkour and cover
