What would you like to see in a New Vegas "GOTY" Edi

Post » Sun May 06, 2012 7:53 pm

So, I know New Vegas didn't win Game of the Year, but it's fairly obvious that it will see some sort of special rerelease. My question is, what would you guys like to see in a New Vegas GOTY [Special] Edition. I'd love to see the Pre-Order packs included, as well as some sort of figurine (this was done very limitedly with Fallout 3, but not very well) and another Pip-Boy alarm clock (I know it's unlikely but I'd still kill to see such a thing released).

Yes because it would prompt more people to buy it. I won't because by the time it comes out I'll have all the DLC and will be looking forward the imminent release of FO4.

I wouldn't mind the preorder packs coming with it for free but its probably just gonna be the base game with a dlc disk in a shiny new cardboard outer cover with new cover design

Troll.

if I found a magic lamp I'd use one of my wishes to add more Legion side quests to the game even if they were just maintain Legion status quo quests. For example, being able to go to the Khans and get a quest from Karl to kill Regis for being an NCR sympathizer or some kind of quest to bomb all the NCR ranger outposts' radio towers to cut their communications or perhaps some way to trick the Fiends' leaders to attack Macarran

something, anything!

Don't count on it. I have a feeling that they won't release by the end of 2012 (2 years after the game released) and before then, DLCs and Skyrim will likely be their focus. So it wouldn't really make sense that they'd announce the new Fallout right around when they might release a special edition.

However, all expect is all of the DLCs, and maybe the preorder packs. But it doesn't concern me because I own the game and all current DLCs, and will continue to buy future DLCs.

While I have all the DLCs... if they do a GOTY collectors edition with a bunch of 'new' goodies (got the original collectors edition) odds are I will buy it... Why? Because I am a svcker for that kind of thing :sadvaultboy: .

To be a little more eloquent, my question also involved the likely "Collectors Edition," that come with the usual pack in goodies. I'm most interested in seeing what people would like to see included in such a release.

Another deck of cards with characters not featured in the old deck... No Veronica? Really? The one bloody signature I could actually get on a card, and she does not get put upon a card. Figures...

Fallout New Vegas GOTY Edition:
One copy of Fallout New Vegas
Downloads for Old World Blues and Lonesome Road
One Pre-Order pack ( depending where you pre-ordered from )
Game case is also redesigned with a new pic of the NCR Ranger.

I'd love for it to have companions, that make sense, to follow you back to the Mojave or show up there later.
And for all the DLC weapons to appear on NPC's and shops except for one of a kinds like Holorifle or Salt-Upon-Wounds power fist.

I have the original FO:NV but I'd definitely sell it in a heartbeat if the GOTY version ever releases with all the DLC's. :D

The DLC's, we don't need the Pre-Order bonuses, otherwise they cease to be bonuses.

Bethesda was going to have a DLC marketplace of sorts for Xbox and PS3. It was ultimately scrapped because Microsoft and Sony wanted to charge money for the DLC, but Bethesda wanted it to be free DLC.

Just as long as the GOTY/Special Edition of FONV has disc copies of the the main game + all the DLCs, I'm fine. Anything after that is just a bonus.

What I want to see in a GOTY:
DLC weapons added to leveled lists. For example, NCR Heavy Troopers could spawn with the Automatic Rifle from DM.
Logan's Loophole available after Level 31.
The pre order packs for the sake of completion, but hidden in the wasteland, not added immediately when starting the game.

What will really be in the GOTY:
Fallout: New Vegas
Dead Money
Honest Hearts
Old World Blues
Lonesome Road

Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 did not have anything special added to their GOTY packages, so New Vegas likely won't as well.

Put all DLC in it (including pre-order stuff) and I will be happy. Or add items with the same stats to the game in the last patch.
