What would you do...

After hearing that there isn't going to be ES5 I would go on these forums and complain for a good 2 hours.

I'm still trying to decide what would be worse, a TES:V that's even more disappointing than Oblivion was or no TES:V at all

If there were no TES V, I'd simply shrug and carry on playing TES III and IV. Probably buy the PC version of Oblivion for Mods to keep the experience fresh. There's also the fact I've yet to play Arena and Daggerfall - both of which are available for free on Bethesda's website.

So yeah...two games with heavily active mod communities and two games I haven't even experienced yet. I think I'll find something to keep me busy for awhile.

I'd actually be pretty gutted. Oblivion is my favourite game of all time, and I'd hate to think there would never be a new opportunity to explore the world they created.

I would slit my wrists and almost bleed to death. And then get hospitalized for being a looney. And then when I'd recovery, I'd sue Bethesda for detrimental psyche harm. And then I'd lose my case because I couldn't afford a good enough lawyer and I'd probably go be a stripper or a prosttute.

So what's the deal? Any news or rumors about a next ES game?

We are still patiently angrily waiting for a shred of news.

with an uzi and a copy of Oblivion...

Well it wouldn't surprise me if Bethesda surprises us someday. They're very secretive. :)

I'd be pissed.

Yet, I'd almost be relieved. The descent into shrinking gameplay and landmass will at last be halted.

I'd probably never buy another Bethesda game because I really only like the fantasy genre, not post-apocalyptic or sci-fi.

If Bethesda announced that there wouldn't be a TES V I would be convinced that I was dreaming. Then I would think "Cool" and go around doing what I want. This would include robbing banks, stealing stuff, wearing Dark Knight Joker make up, and go completely insane. Then the friendly men in white coats would come, and I would spend the rest of my life in a nice jacket and a padded room. Until I got my phone-call.

I would go through Denial first then Cry then get pissed and Be like WTF!? why would they abandon their Defining series? I believe the TES series is the best RPG series ever, It is really their only Original project, Fallout was taken from someone else so it doesn't count.

I would deal with it and move on to other games. There was a time when it would have bothered me a lot more, but how many years has it been since "Oblivion" was released? Four?
Still, I hope Bethesda eventually does release TES V.

That would be horrible. Console players wouldn't get it and a modding team can't make TES V nearly as good as Bethesda(I'm sure there are some good modders out there, but there is a reason why Bethesda's team are the professionals).

You'd be surprised. Look at Tamriel Rebuilt, a lot of there stuff is at least Bethesda quality.

Modders didn't create the tools used to make mods.

 Are you going to force Bethesda to make TES V?

There are two sets in use. Third party tools are used too.

 Are you going to force Bethesda to make TES V?

ZeniMax makes that decision.

I'd cry without my CS...

I mean, I made a Witch's Camp with a boat that travels to Leyawiin and back to my little island to roleplay on, complete with a cauldron I made in Blender, a staff with custom enchantments, and a spell that I can use to trip & fall when appropriate (example: Running down a hill when it's raining.)

Without a CS, it'd be like playing Oblivion on the PS3, and since Bethesda's been working on their engine and improving it greatly... I think I'd cry if there wasn't a new TES because that'd mean the potential to create an amazing game was there. Look at what you can do with Oblivion with the CS!

Now picture that with a new engine with more features...

If there wasn't a new TES, I'd be sad on the inside for a day or two, but I'd move on. "There are other fish in the sea, just none that were meant for me." :sadvaultboy:

I'd probably be disappointed at first - rather excited to see how they are gonna pull another TES off. But then I would shrug and go back to the other games I'm playing, while waiting for Tamriel Rebuilt.
