What would you do if you became emperor?

Oh yeah, and after that, Morrowind becomes the "capital" province. Mournhold becomes the new....capital. And any surviving lizards better make amends, or become slaves.

Oh, and those Divines? Pfft, Lady Azura is all we need.

No forgiveness for the lizar face salamanders, they must be obliterated and exterminated. All of them.

i dont think they care if they are legitimate killing is something that thrives in war and peace. The Brotherhood doesnt seem to be in a financial crisis and legitimacy will only hamper them with laws and restrictions.
Spoiler

[They're down to their last sanctuary in Tamriel at the start of their questline, and in an only slightly better situation at the end. They're down to a listener, a keeper, two assassins, and whoever they find to join them. They spent most of the money left in their coffers rebuilding the Dawnstar sanctuary, and will likely spend even more attempting to rebuild the order.

That is a pretty big crisis. If I (as Emperor) and find them, and offer them a deal, I can be fairly certain that it will at least be entertained, and almost certainly accepted. This deal would be legitimacy with limited restrictions (similar to the Morag Tong of Morrowind), monetary aid, and recruits, in exchange for training my Nighblades and swearing loyalty to the Empire.

Legitimacy would allow them to rebuild without fear of being exterminated if they are found out, and the money and recruits would help them rebuild.

By amends, I meant fixing every single thing they broke.

Basicly making them slaves without them knowing it. :3

Well, they acted like crap you know, taking the advantage of the natural disaster in morrowind.... I think they DESERVE to be slaves, but the population must be decimated to make an example of them.

After the ellipsis you forgot to add "to free their people from slavery and end the constant abuses that the Dunmer subjected them to for over a century." Not that that excuses their actions, or makes me love the Dunmer any less.

If I were Emperor I'd bring back spell making.

This made me laugh, a lot haha.

Otherwise, I'd invoke democracy. I would let the people decide who is truly in charge of the republic... while I live it up large as the remaining line of royalty, simply indulging in what life has to offer. I'm sorry but..
Spoiler
after doing the Dark Brotherhood, I would decline most offers of being a true emperor - I completed this quest rather easily.. tooooo easily.

I wouldn't be afraid of the Dark Brotherhood, since all of my PCs pretty much spent their lives beating things up.

Hard to kill is an understatement, especially for my Morrowind PC.
