I am amused. At how nobody whatsoever from the Caesar's Legion-loving camp is popping up to say how they'd be making a beeline for the legion fort to volunteer to be a skirt-wearing, machete-weilding, NCR-machinegun-charging cannonfodder recruit? Where's the loyalty, boys??
Hehe. All fine and dandy when yer sitting behind your computer warping philosophy to claim how grand and wonderful and altruistic it would be to be Legion... yet when the rubber hits the road, and you face the thought of actually having to BE one of those crazy kilted asshats, without any magical 'courier' superpowers, and with a machete and the Legate standing behind you saying charge those fortifications or die... ayeah. Quite another story.
That's when the low, mean, viscious and extremely undesireable reality of life in the Legion would hit home. "Um, I don't want to be a legion soldier..." Sorry, it's that, or slavery, or death. Choose now, please. "Um, I've been fighting now for years, I think I'll muster out of the legion now and go raise beans or be a layabout..." Sorry, the only retirement plan the Legion has, is death. Carry on...
If it was your real-life ass on the line, you'd all be running screaming to Vegas, California, or some other decidedly UN-Legion part of the west. Mwuhahahahahahaaaa!!!
Yeah, not many people on here are professional soldiers. Your point's rather non-existant really. I wouldn't try and join the Enclave either so I guess I'm some kind of flaming hypocrit. So of course the majority of people would run for Vegas, in-fact the majority of people admitted that they would, of course, be terrified.
There's nothing wrong with being an "internet armchair philosopher" because we
aren't in the Fallout universe, we can look at the universe as a whole and decide what would or would not be best. Arguing for the NCR is being an "internet armchair philosophers". You're point is non-sensical.
I guess you'd go and join the NCR right away for the crap food, in-effectiveness because you're so determined to bring democracy and freedom to the masses; remember if you don't want to be frontline infanry you're a [censored] armchair [censored].
