What would be your perfect ending?

You walk outside...get bonked on the head. Wake up in a basemant without your clothes, next to a donkey, a rooster, a mysterious woman, and you're also missing a kidney.

After all the fighting has finished and all the bosses have been killed you realise you're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air...

Dovahkiin meets Alduin, face to face. "World-Eater!!" Dovahkiin cries out. "You shall eat not the world on this day, but if you must devour something: TASTE MY BLADE!!" Dovahkiin and Alduin fight. It's super amazing, blah blah blah.

Now Dovahkiin stands over a dying Alduin, both are wounded. Alduin looks to the Dovahkiin and says, "You . . . you are Dovahkiin. But who are you?"

Dovahkiin replies to Alduin, in a powerful and bold voice, "I'm the son of rage and love. The Jesus of Suburbia." With that, Dovahkiin plunges his sword into the throat of the World-Eater, ending the threat once and for all.

My dream ending would be me, turning into a dragon fighting all the other dragons to the death and becoming a god. It would make sense both lore wise, and would be the most epic thing to ever happen in any game I have ever played.

I appear to be one of very few who doesn't wish for Alduin to be defeatable.
He's like a ... you know... god or stuff. Dragonborn or not, he's way out of the mortals league.

I know most TES players can't handle any sophisticated stories but come on - crushing everything in your path is a pretty shallow way to settle things.

It may be foolish hope, but I'll put my trust into the developers here to come up with something creative and engaging.

my perfect ending would be this- after defeating the Dragon menace I get more of a reward then a half-butted statue where nobody can really see it. and instead of people saying "I used to think you were a hero," they would bow on their knees and respect me in fear that I might do the same to them. And I get to be emperor or something. at least a count. or at least get my own friggin castle or something!

After a great amount of talking about it and deciding on what to do, you finally stop the two sides in the civil war from spilling blood on the battlefeild. This totaly screws up Alduin's Invasion plan, and he spends the next 10000 years waiting for a war that will never come.

My perfect ending? I get an epic fight with Alduin. After I'm done, I get his dragon shout and all the other dragons are still out there for me to take on. That's the best ending for a TES game. What more could you ask for?

Do some stuff with Alduin or whatever, maybe a fight or something, dunno, don't really care.

But afterwards all the alehouses now sell 'Dovahkiin, Extra Strong Mead'. Now that's proper honour.

for me to be an epic ending it would have to have a defintive end:
1) cut bad dragons head off and be praised by all
2) bend aludin to my will and in the final cutscene i am scene riding through the sky on my badass mount.
3)or some kinda ambiguos ending. Like in a movie where u see that the main character is infected with the deadly virus and eveything will repeat itself, loves those ones.

My perfect ending? The Temple, at the top of 1000 steps, under assault from scores of dragons.

Below, armies clash as the people of Skyrim fight for their lives against the servants of Alduin.

You fight your way up the steps, and are confronted by multiple dragons. With three thunderous words, you knock them back, and press the attack against them. With another shout, the odds even as the dragon whose true name you command comes to your aid.

Minutes later, a hellish blast of flame emanates from your palm, ending the life of the last of the three dragons. Your commanded dragon flies towards the nearest of the dragons circling the temple, while you push forwards - the summoning of Alduin must be prevented!

As you rush to the center of the temple, you find it to be too late - the entire structure is rent asunder as Alduin claws his way into the world. The lesser dragons swoop to his aid, but with a roar, Alduin commands them back. As he faces you, you understand that he desires a one on one confrontation - and no minion will spoil the sport for him.

As the Elder Scrolls theme in the background reaches a thunderous crescendo, you narrow your eyes, raise your sword, and charge Alduin.

One thing I really liked with the Morrowind ending was that the sky became clear. No more red blight storms. Just a simple thing like that showed you right away you made some major impact on the game world. Although then being greeted by everyone and their grandmother as their savior over and over became very annoying after a while :P

But I would like to see something similiar to that sky thing. Something that visually show you what you have accomplished.

Also, I don't really think a big final boss battle is needed either, I really liked in Fallout 3 where you could just talk to the final boss (Colonel Augustus Autumn) and convince him to not fight. No big huge epic monster or fight or anything, just a talk.

Ending reward will, like Morrowinds end of red blight storms and Oblivions gates vanished, be the removal of the dragon interference.
I truly enjoyed the FO3/FONV non violent ending too. First playthough in FONV I had this massive fight at the end. On the second I went more diplomatic and talked him to just get out. And he did. And I just "WTF just happened? That was awesome!" :P So if there is an end boss, there should be many many ways of dealing with him, not just the fight - that gets only pretty quick and lowers the replayability value.

But TES games die a silent and anonymous death when you run out of things to do. Which is why I kinda like the FO3/FONV endings where the game actually ends in an epic (or kinda sad) way. FO3/FONV are also the only games I hit "Restart" in when completed. With TES, I just put them away for a while.

Something challenging... a battle that continues through many stages while resulting in massive collateral damage and environmental devastation. A good portion of skyrim should be reduced to chaos/magicka tainted wasteland... I mean practically every fantasy world has some wasteland that was created by the insane battle between good and evil, god Vs devil, mage Vs mage... I'd like to be part of one of those.

Being at the head of a massive army at the onset of the final battle and seeing the entire host dwindle down to the odd broken soldier would also be nice... Like you start out leading this nigh-invincible host of legendary warriors... but by the time youre finally victorious only a few are left alive and theyve been driven insane (visibly or discretely with the effects showing in their later behavior) by the horrors theyve been put through... That would be great.

Cities should crumble, the earth should be tainted and flames should scour the land... Hellfire and brimstone should rain from the skies and the oceans should boil and churn. These should happen as the final battle builds toward the climix... all set to some standard epic opera music.

*Or Alternatively*

Credits should cut away to a screen that says "Congratulations Tobs! You beat the game! Please contact Bethesda at ********* for your billion dollar prize" I collect my billion and retire to a life of quiet luxury. If someone else beats the game the screen should reada "Congratulations 'Player Name'! you beat the game! Please contact Bethesda at ********* so that we can give Tobs his billion dollar prize" Then i retire to a life of quiet luxury.

no ending... to the game play any ways. (of course the MQ would end) thats why I hated NV's endings svcked imo, because I couldn't play afterwards. (I still lol when I remember the crap that Obsidian devs tried to use as excuses as to why the could not have possibly let the people play after the MQ, their foots in their mouths since every game with bgs name on it before hand let us keep playing.)

btw. it has been confirmed that we will be able to play after MQ, (in case any one did not know that)
