What's wrong

People have been talking about FNV and how it should have something to play after the ending. But right now I'm wondering what's wrong with you guys? Most of the people asking for a play after the ending thing end up being the same people who b**** about fixed storylines.

People got mad enough about LR having a fixed back story on the Courier (necessary to properly play the game) and here they are begging for a play after ending. Don't you guys know that they are not only NOT going to do that, but if they did, it would required more fixed story line on the Courier and future Fallout games?

Sorry, just my rant for today. Thoughts?

I know there is no hope for an official continuation of the Courier's story in the Mojave even though I wish there had been, but I personally really like what I've been able to glean of my Courier's back story.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you mean about the fixed back story thing. Do you mean that people want something like Mass Effect where they can choose where their character was born and their personality?

People have the right to wish for whatever they want. If it doesn't match your preferences it doesn't invalidate their... validity.
I personally don't like the idea of continuing post-MQ but even more I resent people who every time seeing such talk appear, slit their wrists and moan how they hate the world. Figuratively speaking, of course.
There are bigger problems in this world than petty requests IMO.

I guess people sometimes get attatched to their charecters. They build them up and train them and groom them and teach them all these cool abilities and skills. If a person gets truly immersed in the game , that could be upwwards of 200 hours of good times. Perhaps the sense of loss after spending so much time on a charecter that you'll then not be able to see off into the future must bug some people.

I dont get the big deal about having endings that make sense from all angles of the game and for all factions. Look at games like Tekken, where with each charecter you play through with, they're seen as being the winner of the tournament. Every single damned player gets their own version of the ending, and I cant see that it's damaged the story plot of the game series really.

Games like Tekken are not usually a large scale RPG ~nor one with a design history that spans three previous titles where in each the reactive (and in depth) ending is seen as a defining feature of the series.
