What do you associate with fallout

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 4:31 am

Is there anything that when you see/hear/feel it you think of a fallout game?

For me it is a song. Dead in Ditches - Hollywood Undead
Every time I would play fallout 2 I would put it on repeat.

It happens a lot, the Flash Game Caravaneer has a song to it to. :P

The Sun... don't know why, just every day I see it I go, "Say... Fallout.." then shoot at it with my imaginary pistol.

(Watching propaganda footage on the prelinger archives, and of course, watching the old Nuclear explosion footage from the Atolls and Nevada test grounds)

Whenever I see the California state flag I think of fallout. And after playing a Fallout whenever I here of the city it's based in I'll think of that game.

I live waayyy off the beaten path in a very old building; part of my epic-length driveway meanders through a small collection of crumbling shacks, rotting trailers and large innocuous barrels.

I associate Fallout with my driveway.

Also that line in Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" :

"cried all over the street, danced on broken wineglasses barefoot smashed phonograph records of nostalgic
European 1930s German jazz finished the whiskey and threw up groaning into the bloody toilet, moans in their ears"

All images from Fallout, minus the actual vomiting... it's implied at times, I think.
