What do you beef up the music file with?

Loreena McKennit is a great selection choice. Dead Can Dance's Aion is great too, because it has a nice eclectic mix of tunes. Some that are spot on for temples. Others that are spot on for Balmora.

The Soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian by Basil Poledouris is another great one. Some of the inexpensive Celtic collections by the Narada series offer some great traveling tunes.

Good to hear there are fans of Loreena McKennit, Dead Can Dance's Aion, and the LoTR soundtracks. I'd consider all those, and maybe a few selections from Enya or Burzum's ambient albums.

Also, I've looked up some of the Oblivion sound files on Youtube and I find those very enjoyable. If I were playing full-time on PC again, I might try to get those (or even buy the game just to snag them, if I could).

Right now just Daggerfall and stock Morrowind. I've used Twilight of the Gods by Richard Wagner before, but I lost the file some time ago. :(

I have the physical copy of the game. I didn't download from steam.

Do this. Start-> computer-> select your drive. In the upper right corner is a search field. Enter "music"

You'll probably get anywhere from 100 - 200 results. What you're looking for is a folder extension that ends like this

C:\..................\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files

Kind of silly, but the only songs I've added are for battle. The first being Lament for the Aurochs by The Sword and Penguins in Flight by Scale The Summit. They are pretty intense little pieces. They get me excited. I was thinking about adding some music for just exploring to.

Just music from Oblivion. I like to keep it TES related.

Nothing. I just like the music as it is in-game.No need to add extta stuff other than it's shipped with a mod. Some mods come with some music files, which are played as soon as you enter that building which is added by the mod, like MQB.
If i wanted to listen music other then gamemusic, then i listen to my own collection. But i when i do that i don't game then. In a game i just listen to the game music, except in GTA: SA.

I must say with no exaggeration that I have heard the Morrowind theme "Nerevar Rising" literally thousands of times and never get sick of it.

I've added most if not all of the Guild Wars: Eye of the North soundtrack into my game. It just fits so well, especially when traveling in Solsthiem. Also the same composer, so that's probably why.

In your Morrowind folder, there will be a folder called Data Files, and then another folder called music. And sub folders from there.
You can drag any Mp3 into the folders and they will play next time you start up Morrowind.
