What're you doing until 11.11.11

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 2:39 pm

So basically, what're you going to be doing to keep yourself busy until Skyrim comes out?

I have a bunch of games I'm looking forward to, just got a new Tom Clancy book, and I'm playing World of Tanks. Well atleast I'm trying to, my modem won't let me connect to the server! :brokencomputer: I get to play after I've installed it, but after I get off the stupid thing won't connect to the server and I have no idea how to fix it :verymad:.

Moving on though, what do you plan to do until 11.11.11, or are you completely busy?

Edit: So I figured I'd put down some of the games I'm looking forward to or interested in....I'm not going to be able to get them all, even with my Brother and Dad helping......

-Dragon Age 2 03.08.11
-Deus Ex Human (looks cool, but not my cup of tea) 03.09.11
-Crysis 2 03.22.11
-Lego SW 3 ( laugh it up fuzzball  ) 03.22.11
-L.A. Noire (probably not getting it) 05.24.11
-True Crime 06.07.11
-Spec Ops: The Line 08.02.11
-LOTR War in the North (I love LOTR, the Middle-earth of the books is awesome. Hopefully this game will pull it off) 08.30.11
-Star Wars Battlefront 3 (unconfirmd) 09.01.11
-Gear of War 3 10.01.11
-Ace Combat: Assault Horizon 11.01.11
-Mass Effect 3 12.31.11
-Prototype 2 ( probably won't get this one ) 12.31.12

I'll have to pick and choose, and some I'll get when they go on sale, some I won't get at all.

Edit number 2: I forget to mention the BF3 beta coming out, and the game will follow fairly close. I'm expecting to see BF3 in late 2011 or early 2012.

I DON'T KNOW!

I've already finished Crysis, I'm about 30% of Crysis Warhead, and I hope that Dragon Age II will keep me busy for a while. But I still have the summer....I think I'll spend it on the beach :P

Normal life, I've got college to deal with and aqueezing in some leisure time is getting harder and harder. I doubt I'll stop playing WoW any time soon, allthough if DC Universe gets a free trial I might freeze my account and take a look at that, what content I've seen has been quite impressive, at least in terms of combat and visuals. So maybe that, I don't think I'll be paying full price for the game with 1 free month without some serious consideration or incentive though. I don't have a problem paying 15 bucks a month for WoW, not at all, but two subscriptions like that at once would be too much.

Then again, there's a ton of exciting releases this year. L.A Noir, Dragon Age 2, Duke Nukem Forever (So weird to say that), Portal 2, The Witcher 2 and the lsit goes on and on, I doubt I'll ever run out of stuff to do, having the time to do it all is the problem :P

Playing Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay once every couple of weeks, picked up Isla Dorada, Container, and 1960: The Making of the President.

Also, the weather is getting nicer, so I need to get our bikes ready and the pool spic and span.

Other than that I'll probably play around with Rome: Total War and Oblivion, read a bit, and all the other time wasting I can fit in between work, sleeping, and eating.

College should keep me busy, and im looking forward to dragon age 2, as well as Battlefield 3, but chances are BF3 will be coming out around the same time as skyrim, so the wait is twice as bad for me right now.

Playing Morrowind, playing Oblivion, being on the look out for The Infernal City (since I can't find it anywhere in my small-ish town)

I'll probably play New Vegas again and take a different route than what I went with the first time.

I should also probably try to play Daggerfall for the first time.

Also work on planning my various Skyrim mods and perfecting the story and other features.

Beyond that? Working.

. But I still have the summer....I think I'll spend it on the beach :P

Oh yeah! Summer won't be a problem, I'll be going to the beach, the cottage, I'll be able to bike to my friends houses, and I'll have a ball!

But in this weather (I live in Southern Ontario) there's nothing to do and nowhere to go. I'm not 16 until march so winter is still a big problem, most of my friends live well outside of walking distance, atleast outside of distance I want to walk  . I'd rather not walk four blocks in the freezing cold!

Been doing that (and planning my build) since Nov-10 (nearly 4 months...omg)...and also been thinking about what components to buy nearly every day. And still by now I've only came up with the graphics card I want (a GTX 580, and I'm still not sure if to buy a single one, and adding another in SLI mode later, or buy directly a GTX 595). No idea about the rest :D

uhm...no problem here about that. I'm in Spain, you know....sun, paella, and all of that is common stuff out here.

...which is a problem when you're half-Nord like me and hate hot places :P

Replaying Oblivion and Morrowind. Also Dragon Age II is going to be out soon and I hope it is decent... I am not sure with their Mass Effect-ing of it though... we shall see. And Two Worlds II, the Witcher II, Dungeon Siege III..... and as many silly, time wasting games I can find. I have school... which is a decent distraction. Many books to read too, the new Time of Legends books are always good time wasters... Especially the Sigmar trilogy, my boyfriend and I are reading that one now.

Hrm, Dragon Age 2, Dark Souls (ie. spiritual successor to Demons Souls'), finishing off a few games I have that I've not beaten yet (inFamous, Prototype, FF13, Alpha Protocal, Splinter Cell convictions multiplayer stuffs, etc).

Outside gaming I dunno, just working on self improvement/therapy and talking the folks into giving me money for more clothes. ^_^

I'm also (slowly) going through Rome right now. A lot of fun, though I'm proving to be rubbish at keeping track of all these cities.

Honestly? I am trying to read up on puzzle building mechanics and gear my mind for making them (I have never had to do this before and I am not versed in the way of physical puzzles, although I can contrive a good riddle).

I am currently trying to solve http://www.johnrausch.com/SlidingBlockPuzzles/suprcmpo.htm. I have logged several hours in it, more than I want to admit, and haven't solved it yet. I really doubt I will put a puzzle that difficult in my Skyrim mod, but it will still help me think about how to make them with different dimensions.

EDIT

Forgot to say that I have been laid off my job so I am literally sitting at my house with nothing better to do than study my favorite topics (with real life books!), lurk these forums and try to get educated about puzzles. There is an art to it, and much of the true puzzle making principles I need to learn are still a bit over my head.

My social life is not really going on right now (damn you bi-polar!) but that's ok for now.
