What You Dont Want...

Honestly what I do not want in the game is The Dark Brotherhood, but I will just not play the questline for it. So that is not a problem.

-A mandatory hardcoe mode
-Mudcrabs
-Spells that look nothing like what they are (although I KNOW they fixed that from the older games)
-Special weapons that look like normal weapons (this includes the ones with different textures)
-Skill-only-based lockpicking
-Dungeons that look like Divinity 2's dungeons (seriously... they were effin bad. Only bad point in the game though)
-Basemants that are a different cell from the rest of the house (same for bedrooms)
-Beggars that suddenly change voices when they talk about rumors
-Morrowind-esque attitude from NPCs (why does EVERYONE hate you anyways?)
-A HUD that take 1/4 the height of the screen
-Psychic guards
-Two-handed axes being shorter than one-handed ones

BTW, I'm not worried in the least. I just made a list because I felt like it lol

This, this, for god's sake this. Why game developers are insisting on making text smaller and smaller is completely beyond me, but I wish they'd stop it. :swear: Keep your freaking eyestrain out of my games.

I want smaller text so the inventory shows more than 6 items at once. browsing to a chest filled with stuff is a pain. Selecting spells or potions is just as bad, more so as you often don't know the name or Strong healing potions and Healing potions do the same but with different effect.

I would like for the caves to have not such a terrible layout on the inside. Pretty much all of them in Oblivion were horrid and it made the marks on your compass useless.

Help, and the point of farting in somebody's face was? Sounds incredibly childish, yes it might be fun in the child part of the game, followed by running fast or receive a spanking.

....

  • -Special weapons that look like normal weapons (this includes the ones with different textures)
I'd like to see cool looking uniques; but in a game with magic... I would not mind an enchanted weapon that looked just like every other of its kind.

  • -Skill-only-based lockpicking
This is something I'll mod in if I have to (and I expect to have to :().

  • -Beggars that suddenly change voices when they talk about rumors
    Agreed :foodndrink:
If you're going to put full voiced beggars that have no purpose other than atmosphere... Go all the way and give them full voice sets and not "mix-n-match".
*or of course, just don't bother with the insignificant NPCs having a voice.
Having no voice does not make them less insignificant does it?

Personally I'd prefer it if the developers used the existence of voiced dialog as a clue to the player that this NPC has something of worth to mention to the PC ~that way those without voice, (that have not been directly mentioned by name from a voiced NPCs) can be safely ignored, and save time.

Yes I like the idea of a hold out magic weapon, one that to all eyes looks plain but packs a punch.

As much as I agree with this, I hope at least one begger pulls this trick as an in joke.
"Multipule Jane" they could name her.

This is quite good an idea.

people that excessively complain about 1 small aspect of the game that apparently ruins it.

are u referring to me? cuz those small aspects didnt ruin the game at all for me. oblivion is actually one of my favorite all-time games. Is it wrong to ask for small changes?

i dont want them taken out either. I just dont want to have to find something to restore them almost every time i get hit with an enchanted weapon or spell. Yes i could use a spell that fortifies my attributes but thats just one more spell and thing to worry about.

they should give you the option for smaller text or not.

agreed, they did this for the old final fantasy games. You got to choose the background, size, font, caps or not, etc. It was very cool and allowed you to set your prefered method of reading. Very effective for people with differing eyesight capabilities + customization is always cool. But I'd be fine with what you suggested.

Someone there who knows about programming the visual side of graphics, because that's all they've talked about besides combat.

To know what else there is besides B graphics and combat in the game.

I don't want the game to use such tiny text that my 32" tube tv can' t handle it. Oblivion, FO3 and FONV I could all read fine and it was perfect. Mass effect 2 and Dragon age that particular company decided to presume all players had flat screen tvs and made the text to small that it is unreadable on everything but PC monitors and LCD TVs... truly ruined those games for me and made them unplayable...but I trust Beth will not let me down. That is all.

I'm just going to go ahead and blow everyone's minds and suggest that maybe Bethesda could provide a "large text" mode that makes the game playable for people with small/CRT displays without sacrificing the advantages of smaller text for high-resolution displays.

Where's my job, Bethesda?
