What do you expect the game to be rated?

Post » Mon Jun 14, 2010 8:33 pm

Despite Oblivion originally being rated T, given the better graphics and the blood in the trailer, I am inclined to believe that the game will be rated M.

I think it will get an M. The darker setting and tone coupled with the fact there's a civil war will put it onto M territory.

No doubt an M, this is a rather silly topic. There's no way it would only be T. Anything with even slightly realistic killing is an M.

It is going to be M, I don't see how it will get a T rating.

It'll be an M, not that it really matters one way or the other. T games are just fine, too.

i HOPE it will be rated M but just because there's blood doesn't mean it's GONNA be M-rated.
there's plenty of games that are T that have blood :S

Useless topic....

Todd has already said multiple times it will have an M rating....go watch the old interviews to see.

And as for why it does? Isn't it obvious?

Regardless of the T/M rating, everyone will be playing the game. :P

it will be T, the unkillable children have pretty much screamed T

No. The unkillable children means it's going to be legal.

It's definitely going to be M.

i forgot who it was, said in an interview that they're not aiming for a specific rating, but the finishing moves (like bashing someones head in with a mace) is more than likely going to make it M

Todd said that. And it's pretty clear it's a situation of "not aiming for" actually meaning - "it will be like this, we just don't like stating it to the public due to legal restraint and the off-chance it could change before it's set in stone"

It will be M. I would bet $5000 to anyone, anywhere, that says it will be otherwise.

The thought of it even dropping back down to the T rating never even crossed my mind. Especially since Todd stated there will be some gore (but less than FO3), and the inclusion of finishing moves.

Where's the E option? :P
Skyrim will most certainly be M. Most games are nowadays, it seems.

Mainly because the game companies realized that parents generally dont give two [censored] about what rating the game little Timmy is playing.
