what is you favorite playthrough

Post » Mon Dec 05, 2011 6:17 pm

Ok i want you all to list your favorite play through style meaning favorite main combat skill like guns,EW,melee etc. Your secondary favorite combat style. And your other skills that deem important with that play through and how you role-play meaning evil good neutral or just dont give a f@#k. Cause i am thinking of doing multiple play throughs only using certain skills instead of always having a balanced character on everything as it seems to become overpowered from lv15 up.

Can't part with the Holorifle, or LAER as my main combat weapons. Guns would be my secondary, SMMG and Sleepytime. My focus skills are Barter, Speech, and Survival (House's business partner and Mojave celebrity) and usually neutral.

An assassain playthrough's always fun, if you wanna try that.

Energy weapons shocktrooper.
My main style B)

Tried to make a Guns/Survival cowboy character, but it fell down pretty quick and it turned into a grunt. The only role I preserved was restriction of energy weapons.

My first playthrough was Guns, and every single one of my characters carries a 5.56mm rifle and a 9mm sidearm with them at all times(usually Ratslayer & Maria). Guns are powerful, convenient, and common. There's no penalty for using Guns to wipe out low-level enemies or as the assassin's weapon of choice.

Subsequent playthroughs have focused on other forms of combat. My favorite thus far is my Legion-supporting Unarmed/Survival/Medicine character. Sure, she carries Maria & the YCS/186 and can use both effectively, but pure Unarmed is my favorite of all types of combat thus far.

I'm trying serious Energy Weapons focus now, though.

I'm having huge fun with a Grenadier- a hybrid Explosives/Guns character. He uses Explosives as main weapons and Guns for silent kills and indoor battles where Explosives are too dangerous. He is level 16, still uses his trusty Mercenary's Grenade Rifle (with the long barrel mod), Ratslayer and a 9mm SMG (soon switching to an Assault Carbine).

Two VATS shots with a Grenade rifle put an end to just about any fight; anything that survives the second grenade is too crippled to be a serious threat. Just get some decent armor and some Auto-Inject stimpaks, and try to not catch any friendlies with the blast.

This.

That's pretty much the only character type I use. I had one small guns character when I first got the game, but he ended up with a high energy weapons skill too. I also did an explosives character once, but it didn't go very far.

Nothing beats the satisfying feeling of using an energy weapon. Lately I've been favoring plasma too. Although laser was my original preference.

Guns being that my characters are the sniper type. Energy weapons are too weak in the newer Fallout games compared to 1 and 2.

Unarmed, because an Unarmed build can be just as effective if not more so than any other build while looking twice as badass. I've been perfecting this build since the game came out and I'd like to think it has to at least be one of the best out there.

hmmmm so more than likely that will be my third play-through. I've always wondered about doing straight energy weapons and that too. so many choices and combinations to choose from can be so overwhelming.......i have to give cred to Bethesda. they did great work on fallout 3 and NV by far one of the best RPG-Shooters i have ever played!!!!

Depends on the character, but I tend to keep it Western on my first playthrough.
