What do you hope in Crysis3 campaign?

What's your request? What should Crytek fix or improve? Let's post for Crytek.


Level Design

Bigger & wider map

Crysis2 maps were very narrow or small. Only 100~200m even biggest area. I hope Crysis3 has 500m area.

Freedom of the route

Crysis2 was almost no freedom of the route. Most of maps are very linear. Even if some maps have several routes, it's like driver choose lane. Not road. Choosing lane, choosing road, they're totaly different. And I hope that we can pass many buildings. It's important. The building which we can't pass limit route, gameplay. I want ladders, too. There are building, but we can't climb!?

More vertical

Crysis2 vertical gameplay was weak. I hope Crysis3 has much more up-down, much more range of height. I want to shoot enemy from hill & roof of building.

Less respawning AI & stop close-range spawning

Frequent respawning is annoying & very unnatural in some cases. Please use more carefully. And please stop close-range spawning. Not only it cause a visual problem, but also it brings limitation of gameplay.


Game Design

Less energy cost of sprint

Big energy cost of sprint made strong limit of movement in Crysis2.

Less energy cost of power attack

We need all energy for power attack? That was rediculous. It makes power attack garbage.

More meaningful pickable object

This is important point for gameplay. There were very few meaningful pickable objects in Crysis2. And, there should be several kind of barrels. Because flammable barrel is bad as pickable weapon.

Meaningful driveable vehicles

Meaningful, this is important point. Not only driveable.

Meaningful suit modules

Most of suit modules were garbage in Crysis2 campaign. Please re-design.

Less QTE

As many many gamers said, QTE is garbage in most cases.


Enemy

Normal AI

Crysis2 AI was very buggy. It was one of the most biggest problem in Crysis2. CELL & Marines throw grenade towards an obstacle and blow up themselves. AI don't notice sound of cannon. AI don't notice crash sound of car. High frequency stuck. I was surprised & became very sad that last boss stuck... I don't need super smart AI, I want normal AI...

More variety of enemies

We can already see several kinds of new enemy units. But an important point is individuality or characteristic in gameplay. It makes fun. They stand, walk, run, shoot or not... Crysis2 aliens were so in most parts. They're just hyper human as gameplay. Boring.

What I want is... for example, some aliens use barrier (I think Crysis Warhead type was good. Group leader make barrier for other members), some aliens fly (and grab & carry friend to anywhere anytime. this is great... we aren't safe at the roof of building), etc.

Others

Better Lean

Lean system of Crysis2 wasn't good. Very limited position & strange camera.

Skippable cutscenes

I can't understand why Crytek made unskippable... it's just waste of time in replay.


Credits after Ending

"No Credits after Ending" was one of the big fault in Crysis2. It's very important point for players.

I hope the AI are more smarter and actually make things challengenly this time, and tht u cn pick up any ceph weapon instead of being limited to a small amount of weapons.

Hope we see alot more new looking ceph then the ones from crysis 2 especially the big bulky ceph aliens

i disagree on the suit modules as well, i loved those, i DO think however that some other like track tracer can be buffed up a bit, i mean, a lot of people just use 2/5 of the modules (well, on average) because the others aren't always as usefull

I'd like to see all of the modules have a much, much larger effect, while the higher-level ones being less of a direct upgrade compared to the lower ones!

The suit modules in Crysis 2 were more suited to MP. Case in point, the one which lets you see cloaked enemies.

It should be like in crysis 1. I hate that you can't sprint when you're outta energy. Speed as a separate mode is the best!

So as example, you mean instead of it being 1x -> 1.5x -> 2x... it should be 1x -> 3x -> 10x?

I just want the ability to turn off the nanosuit voice! PLEASE LET ME TURN IT OFF!. I hate hearing "Cloak engaged", or "Nanovision engaged"... It gets to be annoying after a while. :(

An indication that cloak (and its counter) is too central to the gameplay, in both SP and MP

One thing I noticed in the Nanosuit 2 showcase when it was first released was that it had enhanced EMP resilience (via Faraday Weave Shields IIRC).

I'd like to see more EMP-based attacks and resilience toward such attacks as the N2 didn't really stand against even the grunts' sonar blasts. With Prophet's 20 years of tweaking, I'm sure he'd be able to have worked out a way to make those shields stand up against the weaker aliens' attacks.

I would like to see less linearity too. I would like to see more scenes, where you are doing your own objectives during middle of Ceph vs marines firefight. I remember, that there was a scene where marines were defending an area from Ceph assault and you were supposed to blow up something behind the enemy lines or something like that. I don't really remember the scene correctly anymore, but it was very cool.

Also, I would like to see less handhelding. I find it better to discover all the "tactical options" by myself.

I would like a big open world just like crysis1 and crysis warhead. I would like to see a REAL pc game and not a useless consoleport.
But the most important thing for me to actually spend my money on this game, is NO mandatory origin installment!

I think the right solution would be including a "Announcer volume" in the sound options.

Yeah I liked that scene as well. Those little bits help pull you into the game more because it makes you feel more involved.


And I never really cared for the tactical options in the binoculars. Just seemed like clutter with stuff that I would prefer to figure out myself.

hehe:D i think even it would be hot chick voice, i would want to turn off that. beacuse after a time, its annoying a bit.
-what i would want is customers difficult level, to have the possibility playing very different.
- the possibility, if i have infront me a barrier like 1.5metres high stone, wall,... go close and pressing space (jump) causes climbing over it. or a extra key. i would thing it should be setable if someine wants combine it with jumping or if he want a extra key. if i couldnt explain it well, here in german:
"ein kleines hindernis wie eine stufe, mauer,.., die vielleicht unter 1-1.5meter hoch sind, mit sprung- oder eine extra taste besteigen. hierfür sollte man vielleicht spieler ausw?hlen lassen wie er es haben will".

I hope they go back and realize that in Crysis 2 they missed one of the most important parts of the end of the game... Crysis 1 had a massive alien ship thing which you take down with the TAC launcher, Crysis Warhead you take down the four legged fire Alien (another Boos type thing) with the PAX Cannon, yet for some reason on Crysis 2 there's no better massive alien they just put some cloakers at the end, there's also no kick A*** 'Experimental' weapon so i hope they pust these at the end of Crysis 3

Is it too much to ask for both?

Crysis 1 on the Xbox ran brilliantly. Yes I appreciate it doesn't have the same graphical levels as the PC version, but it still looks fantastic.

Was a little disappointed that there wasn't a 'boss' at the end of C2, but story related battles at fixed parts of the campaign work for me, and keep the free roaming.

Some heavy weapons other than the JAV would be welcome, I think we all felt pretty awesome walking onto the deck with a TAC launcher!
