What do you hope to see in the upcoming DLCs

Post » Thu May 06, 2010 2:27 pm

For some this is true for the player who wants to enjoy it and replay it - they like the "Build The Character" point of view. Since i am a single player in this game, I love the ultimate character. That's why I still enjoy FO3 better for the 360 or PS3. I have also played on the PC which is the best to set your character up from the beginning - which is a given (But the consoles load easier/faster). So to make all happy there should of been a Wasteland Character Perk so you have the option to have all these other perks that a few don't want when they play on their 360 or PS3. Balance is only useful if online MP - which I agree with.

Balance is needed in a singleplayer game too.

Only Online?

Even WOW is totally unbalanced, much more now with Cataclysm, Warlocks got nerfed badly

Singleplayer is for balance too, not only for build the charecter, but for roleplay one, and I dont like a Demigod character, unless plot demand it

One that adds more stuff in The Strip. Like a whole new area with casinos and such. The DLC could start off with something like "(said number) of years have passed". Will not happen but that would be great.

I wanted to vote for 2 and 4 but sadly could only vote for 1 :sadvaultboy:

On that note I'd like to see the new DLC as large as Point Lookout and to be able to go back to it whenever. Give me more Guns, mods and armor. If they make the enemies tougher and level up a bit then I wouldn't mind a level increase. Also bring the NCR and the Legion in to it. And at the end of it my decisions can effect what happens to the area. And last but not least a good plot

I took a unique challenge like the speakers, because in HC mode dead money made me feel in constant danger. The speakers were just one of the ways DM accomplished this feeling.

CL east most of my characters would kill every thing that walks on crawls besides slaves. It would be very hard for any writer to make my characters understand why they were there in a grey sort of fashion. My charecters already love them or hate them.

I don t need any more well writen stories with little feel of danger like the main game. I need to feel in almost constant danger. Good writing alone does not provide that.

What I want is another DM type dlc. Good writtin and a difficult game world. DM also didn t try to out critically think humans, because games will lose if they try and then they seem cheap in a way.
DM provided critical thinking that a game can handle, and had a good story, and was difficult in HC mode, and made me feel in constant danger that is why is was so good. That is what I am looking for.

as well as more lands and a Possible Sequal DLC to New vegas such as facing The Legion or NCR or Mr house and Yes Man .

how could they possibly accomplish this. There is no way with current tech they could possibly extent each ending. It would be as big as the entire game, maybe bigger. Its not going to happen in this one it can t happen.

Fortunately, Obsidian have said MULTIPLE times they will not do a DLC like that.

The problem with Vegas is that it has a lot of empty trucks, boxes, etc. I miss the Bobble Heads with the fixed increase in points. The fo3 seemed to make you feel more into the character. I guess since you kind of grew up with the character.. Maybe Vegas needs to do something more with brotherhood instead of hiding them.

I argree with u on the fo3 charecter plot, but not with the same reasons.

As for changing or extending any thing at all in the main game....They won t and can not do it. There are too many choices. Even with a small faction like bos there were too many choices. They can t do anything with the main game except MAYBE add some stronger enemies in the wastes for replays. That is it....

The dlc s must be totally seperate from the main game or any of the factions. You could maybe go see some other small bos chapter somewhere, but people would flip out. I don t even want to see bos of any kind in these dlcs

You can still build your charecter to be walking tank by level 20 in nv. By level 35 Im not sure what u r, but it isn t fair to anything else on the map.

I m 35 I have 100 in guns, speech, lockpick, science. What else could you need. Im also a 59 in explosives and EW, and 62 in sneak.

I ve added several special points to my main guy and have perks that help him be super natural compaired to 99% of the stuff in the game. Boosting the other skills will only make things even easier. Charecter build is fine. Enemy build is what is lacking.

And they couldn t do it even if 200,000 people got here and asked.

Too many choices they would have to make a whole other game. That would be stupid, because there can really only be 1 ending to a story. All the other endings will be tossed , and we ll be told what happened in nv anyway. We just don t know when that will be.

Given the wait, do larger and therefore more expensive DLCs. Dead Money's size was perfect because of the nature of the story, but when it is a location that you would want to walk around a ton (Zion National Park) I just want something big.

The next DLC should focus more on exploration ala Point Lookout.

Point Lookout was big, interesting, and had hard enemies, but I was mosty by myself. No followers, and really not enough interaction with other people at all IMO. DM was good for so many reasons I can t list them all.

You left out one important option, too NOT have to pay for it.

Otherwise it sends those 'tards a message, that it's OK to charge for INANE UPDATES!!!

Not me........I d like to put that faction to death for many reason inside and outside of the gameworld. I don t ever want to see CL again unless they r born again hard.

They can t create a good enough reason to put my charecters in view of CL without killing all of them. Except "Dahmer Bundy" he s in no shape for a dlc right now.

So I would not be happy with an extention of CL of any kind because, it would not make sence. If they try to tell me that cl captured me somehow I won t buy it, because cl can t capture me they can barely even hurt me. Even when I sleep people are around to wake me up.

Can t go in like The Pitt, because we just did the pit. Didn t need to get into the pit like that anyway, because my guy was a walking tank and could go in there how ever he wanted and get the job done.

I like how big Point lookout was and how many hidden things there were. I hope there are no more DLC's like Dead money where it was a maze half the time and the other half was trying to find stim's an food. I think they might have DLC that tell us about NCR an CL, i hope that you will be able to return to it and do more exploring. i hope they increase the lvl cap i dont care about the balance and overpowerd couriers i hope they have working stealth armor, for people that do care about balance either dont use the items or play on a harder difficulty. I would love to see a return of the fallout 3 assualt rifle and chinese assualt rifle with mods for each.

I wouldnt mind a DLC that is sorta like Broken Steel.. and point lookout .

I want something that is open like pointlook out was, but something that had a plot like dead money did, but i want it to involve the brother hood. I really enjoy playing these games when it comes to the brotherhood of steel.. Another thing i would like to see included are the lack of items and ammo that dead money had. In dead money i found myself crafting a lot of stuff, where as in New vegas the crafting skill was pointless. New Vegas tried to get away from FO:3's billion items everywhere and make it harder to play however it was still too easy, every building you go in had stuff in it that you didnt need to use so eventually things stacked up and the game got too easy... In dead money it was pretty tough at time. Also i would like it to be connected to the main land of New Vegas like broken steel was "until you had to go to the rig"

One thing i do not want tho is another Maze like dead money. Dead money got extremely irritating having to run to the same places over and over and over again. It seems like the map was extremely tiny and all you did was run back and forth.

I want The Vault 11 survivor to play a role in the next dlc, I mean Obsidian worked really hard on the Vault 11 story and it would be awesome to see what happened to the vault 11 survivor

A Legion setting DLC would be nice. To me they aren't as say "developped" as they could have been and seeing the lands they live in and how it is there would be pretty awsome.

Yeah that's have to be an expansion to do something like that. The reason it worked in FO: 3 was because it ended the same no matter what you did

I just like having new areas to play in, more things to find and giggle at when I shoot them at ranged distances or with unarmed fun. I like playing just for the fun and escape it offers me.I enjoy the replay factor of the Fallout series. Though it took me a while to convince myself it is ok to blow up that town, or eat dead people, slice their throats in their sleep, I eventually came to terms that I don't have to have a conscience for a while. I did have a little less of this type of fun in Dead Money. But heard some giggles from my boyfriend when I screamed at the creapy ghost people coming after me, (I have a very intense imagination), but, I was let down that I could not go back after it was finished. Oh and I would really love to be able to have a part of flying. These games keep my attention, I lke watching others play as well as playing, with ADHD that says a lot. I cannot wait until the next addition is released. When will that be? :ahhh:

I'd like the DLCs to be more like Point Lookout with a well developed plotline & quest. I have a sense that the next 3 DLCs will be more tied into the main questline of FONV, which is fine by me. While it was great, Dead Money seemed more like a side project then anything that related to the rest of the world. I know about the stuff Elijah & Christine explain at the end, but still it didn't seem that well connected to the rest of the world. So I'd rather see DLCs that open up the world and you can return to those areas.
I wouldn't mind a DLC that goes east and explores CL world abit better. Legion towns + Legion troops = more targets to shoot at... :gun: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:
