What do you like to happen once you clear a dungeon?

I'd like to have the option to make a cleared out dungeon a hideout.
Respawning is good so you never run out of enemies, but Its nice to have the option for a hideout.

They should respawn, but with maybe new enemies. Like if you clear out a cave with bandits, a pack of wolves might move in later.

I think every dungeon should be given a condition of having quests assigned to it, and if you've cleared the dungeon, and there are no further quests pre-assigned to it for later in the game's plot, then it should be sealed. Dungeons that you find that are just sitting there waiting to be found obviously were never found by anyone else before you, or else they would have cleared that dungeon themselves. And unless you were an archeologist, it would be no fun to explore a dungeon someone else already cleared. What a disappointment that would be. So I think that dungeon locations that you clear should be reported to some agency within Skyrim that then comes out, studies the dungeon for lore and information, and then seals the dungeon behind themselves so no one else can go into it.

You could get some kind of a reward for helping to find and help preserve the memory of the lore found inside the dungeons, even if it's just an honorary title of some kind by that "preservation" society. Your rank could go up as you clear dungeons throughout the course of your game.

If that dungeon you just cleared is somehow connected to another quest somewhere later in the game, then of course it just respawns and resets and if you need to go back there for the quest, then its ready for you to do so. Then, once the potential quest tally for that dungeon reaches zero, then the society comes out and seals it.

Every dungeon, especially the cool ones, should only be visited 1-2 times at most. To preserve the memory of the enjoyment you had there, but to force you to move forward and find the next one too. If you really want to see that dungeon again, start a new character.

That's my take on it.

return and fight again. other wise you would eventually run out of places to loot and i'd have not much else to do if I wasn't role playing.

I would like them to respawn, but only if you don't go back for awhile. That way, if you decide to make one a hideout and return there once in awhile, creatures won't respawn. However, if you stay away for an extended amount of time, you may have to battle your way back to your goods :)

Second.

I want to make an awesome hideout in a Dwemer ruin.

I have never ever returned to a dungeon after having cleared it once in a TES game. Its pointless.

^ This.

In Oblivion I usually loved going back to forts and caves to clear them out for loot. However, it would be awesome if in Skyrim it waits a few days til it respawns creatures, and the wait is reset everytime you visit the cave. To make sure that the amount of times creatures respawn in your hideout is kept at a minimum, the game should wait a month or two, giving you time for you to return with your loot worry-free when coming back from your adventures and quests.

I cannot express how much I absolutely love this idea! Respawning dungeons always ruined my sense of accomplishment or moving forward. Plus I think some sort of archaeological society would be really cool. I love collecting relics anyway, and I make that my focus.

I would like a mix of both, some dungeons that could be used as hideouts while others have respawns but I would like them to have quite a long respawn time. Judging by the respawn times in Oblivion there were hordes of undead and bandits and marauders just waiting for an oppurtunity to find new lairs. That or their birthrates were really high.
